Unless he edtied his post (and I see nothing that indicates he has) I don't see what the big deal was. he says English speakers.

Back to the orginal OP's question: Is there a server where the majoroity of english speaking community is going? If not, now would be an excellent time to pick a server  to direct people to. I am still on the fence about giving this a go. If I do id love to know there was a sever where the english speaking community is the strongest.

Waiting for: Final Fantasy XIV
Now Playing: COD4:MW2 (bye bye stars)
Worst MMO: Age of Conan
Favorite MMO: FFXI

CN Region 4 (East China), Beritra Server

or

CN Region 2 (North China, IIRC), Azariel Server

Both have english speaking communties forming, Ethos and Flawless being the more well known legions. Both of those are located on R4, Beritra. Unsure about legions on Azariel as I don't play there myself, I'm a member of Flawless on Beritra.

PS: Both Ethos and Flawless are Asmodian Legions, just fyi.

pretty sure he was joking anyway.....at least I really hope so. I hadn't realized that 'english speakers' translated to 'USA-only language speakers'. That would just be ignorant.

cool well will look for those servers when I get my account going. If anyone is interested in joining me send a pm. Would be interested in maybe forming a clan for ANYONE WHO CAN SPEAK ENGLISH =D. or joining one for that matter.

There will be online events (similar to beta) to try the game before we launch it here in EU/NA (this fall, as Cynthe said), and rest assured that the quality will be high as we're working hard to polish localization (putting a lot of energy into this aspect) and making sure that other features are launched top-notch and perhaps tweaked a bit for our market where necessary. Anyone who choses to wait for our preview events here will get a great experience, no doubt, as we are then able to present the game to you the way it's meant to. :)

So good to hear. I don't think anyone's questioning the quality, I believe the game will be excellent when it comes to the NA/EU. I think they only reason players are trying the Chinese version is because we've been waiting for so long, just a taste of the game is nice. Please believe me that all of these players putting the effort just to try the Chinese version for a short period of time will be all over the game when it comes to the NA/EU.

Yes they will, NcSoft. Yes indeed they will swarm to it like a celebrity shopping at Walmart! I, for instance, cannot wait for Aion: Tower of Eternity to hit the US. When it does, it will be my one and only game subscription. It will be the end all be all for me. WoW who? Yep, it's like that! :)

You mean there are people outside the USA that speak english?  I thought that was just a rumor?

So there is civilization outside our borders....who'da thunk it...

We just assumed you were all bearskin wearing, spear carrying, slope foreheaded idiots...now we realize we can make money off of you...sweet!

I'm on Azariel (North China) and I've seen quite a few english names. The crazy thing about it is there is hardly any lag from what I can tell. Seems to be a slight delay or it could just be how the game is set up.

You know, people keep saying this and it is completely without merit.

The game was announced in 2006. It is now being released in 2009. That means it took 3 years from announcment to build, test, debug and release.

Not only is that standard but given the latest releases that came out after they were pushed back, it is actually fast.
