When I first purchased the game I had such high hopes for it PvP wise and after about 5 minutes I was in love! Great PVE introduction with nice interactive quests lush landscapes and great graphics. Of course thats excluding the lagg, bugs and terrible community.

Recently I received an e-mail offering me a free trial so I looked into it hoping it would activate my old account temporarily but that isnt the case, I plan on making a trial account and checking the game out but the downloads are still going now and im wondering a few things.

What has changed? is the PvP still terribly unbalanced do people constantly run in and out of zones as they used to is there any rewards and what exactly is the PvP experience that never used to work?

Im currently playing World of Warcraft still and im wondering is Conan worth playing instead? please dont reply with yes or no if you are going to reply please explain why.

All I'm going to say is that I'm a PvP player and I quit Age of Conan recently for good and most of my guild followed me.

The lag and bugs have largely gone but I never had a bad experience with the community so not sure how it will have changed for you. PvP is largely balanced now IMO with the exception of the class Tempest of Set but either way, there will be a big balancing of classes in the next patch.

Thank's for the reply, I'm eager to get on and give it another try. I think my problem with the community was the fact it's rated 18+ and alot of kids play it. That was one of the thing's I was hoping to avoid I dont really enjoy playing with kids I know some can be mature but the majority are not.

Sure, I understand your point - I guess finding a mature and friendly guild should help with that though.. :)

Maturity level...sorry to tell you but so far I'm finding the players to be very young and immature.  Had some kid in global tonight wanting to see a female character take her clothes off......I'm dead serious.  My iggy list is long and healthy

People who thought Age of Conan would be full of mostly mature players, are naive.

Funcom is using that old trick where they say the game is for mature people but all their marketing is aimed to kids. Digital boobs and fatalities attract kids, not adults.

I have played korean grinders with more mature playerbase.

Actually digital boobs and fatalities attract everyone, it just so happens that the immature players, young and old, deem it necessary for whatever reason to comment on it nonstop in chat, just like the stupid chuck norris jokes that were constantly spammed a while ago.

I can honestly say digital boobs had zero effect in my decision to subscribe to Age of Conan. I'm not against them but for me they are just childish and I couldn't care less if they removed them altogether. I get so much action in real life that pixel boobs just don't do anything to me.

I do realize we are talking about MMO's so of course there will be tons of kids but I just think Age of Conan has more immature players than your average MMO and digital boobs play hyge part in that.

I didn't subscribe for digital boobs, but hey, my female assassin, what a cute (digital)  ass! Oh and I love the fatalies, my ranger lobs heads off with her sword, sweet! I'm 37 and married, so I  guess that puts me well out of the kids bracket!

For sure there are kids on the game, the general channel is regularly full of idiots although previous experience suggests that whilst they sound like kids they are probably just adults behaving like kids, hehe.

Lol I was not being serious when I said that, more sarcastic, I guess it is kind of hard to tell when trying to portray sometimes over a typed message. I simply meant that more than likely, the childish behavior is not just kids/teens, but adults as well. I dont think that all the immature behavior should ever be linked to kids because, for example, i was only a teen when EQ came out, and was never in the chat being annoying. So, Im just trying to point out that it is not just kids
