What i want:

  • Free to play: It's okay if they sell items, as long as they aren't extremely overpowered.
  • Casual friendly: I can play like 10 hours a week.
  • Solo friendly.
  • Decent player base: I don't want to play a dying game.

Runes of Magic - The best free to play game out right now. Its growing very quickly. There are lots of special events and additions happening all the time.

I have to agree with Meltdown and Aganazer. Runes of Magic is a great game for a free to play. I have played alot of pay to play and free to play games over the last 5 years or so, and ROM has to be by far the best free to play I have played.

You should definately give that one a try. I am also a casual player, but I have alot of fun on the game when I do get the time to play. The game to me doesn't even feel like a free to play, has the feel of a pay to play. They do have a cash shop like every other f2p of course.

Anyways, not going to write a review about this game here, just definately think you should give it a try. :P I don't think you will be disappointed.

ROM is F2P ... if you can do some multi-boxing this game can become extremly fun for certain period of time. Give it a try
