Im playing since 1,5 years. Stopped playing after 1 year and canceled my account (since i thought id be playing Darkfall by now, but atm im not, maybe i will some day), resubscribed 2 months ago. I just cant let this awesome game Eve Online go. It always draws me back to it. Or so to say, the overwhelming complexity, unforgiveness, and challenge always draws me back to it. This game will become legendary in some decades. /discuss |

Good to have you back, Staat. I play the character in the game named Bunyip, a member of the Council of Stellar Management. I've been hearing a lot of good things from CCP for the future of the game, and can promise you that it's only going to get better from here. I'll have to agree with your statement that the game is completely unique. Eve is one of the first to have a classless, level-less system, and the fact that, while skills do matter, they don't decide victory or failure, is a nice feature too. Anybody in the game is always welcome to add me to buddies and chat me with any questions or concerns you may have. This CSM session is almost over, but I do plan to stay in touch with the future CSM members but not be one myself. - Bunyip "The civilized man is rude, as he knows there are laws that protect him from recompense; The savage is not, for his actions can meet a bloody end." |

This is one the best if not the best mmo out there right now. Ive played eve just over a year now and wont quit anytime soon. I have my own small corps with friends and were having a blast. I have high hopes for WOD mmo if CCP is running it! :) keep up the good work CCP!!!! Played : WOW, LOTRO, COH/COV, EQ2, SWG, and WAR. |

I have played loads of mmo's but their is not many that compare to eve online, the only mmo that I would rate near eve online would be RF online which imo was a excellent mmo too. I think eve will carry on growing and getting better and better. |

Indeed, one of the great things about Eve is that there is just one server for everyone. CCP did start a Chinese server although i dont think it is still running, i am not sure (maybe someone can clarify. There was talk at the time that when technology allowed it they would merge the two servers, that would have been totally mind blowing!! |

Eve is indeed a unique fork in MMO development and I think it will only become more unique as other companies continue to pump out Theme Park MMO clones. The best part is that CCP uses a sustainable development model for a small developer, considering that the players create the majority of the content, so they will probably be around for a long time and continue to grab new subscribers looking for an alternative MMO experience. This also means CCP can continue to focus on developing core gameplay mechanics and add new features, since they are not constantly forced to add and update PvE content.
The next MMO I try will probably be CCP's 'World of Darkness'. I expect it will be a sandbox, and I'll never be into Theme Park MMOs after over a decade of playing them.
As for the Chinese server, it is there because of Chinese law, which limits their citizens' communication with the outside world. I do not think it will ever be merged as long as China is a communist country. However, I have read that many Chinese people are able to get around this and play on Tranquility.
