I enjoyed both the video and the music. I don't play the game yet, but how do you do that move where it looks like you jump away just as you turn again with your bow to shoot? There was a period there where that seemed like it threw him off. Anyway he was very melee oriented and you were very missile oriented, so maybe he should have found some trees or something 8) |

Were only having the debate about the "5% speed hack" because its pretty dammned obvious that modifed clients are plenty in DF. Interesting that "5%" is used not a larger amount but I predicted that the next wave of cheaters will be more subtle. Its pretty obvious AV cannot do anything meaningful to solve this problem (or anything else). Also the combat is in heavy armour.. stupily fast. So much for armour and weight being a factor eh ? Nice to see DF dumbed down gameplay once again. Anyways video "joke" is in poor taste given DF major problem with security. Heck even the fanbots are trolling there own game now. Though I am beginning to think Javac doesn't like this game at all and is doing this for teh lulz. |

cheats are not widespread, that's crap. i have been playing since beta and i've only seen 1 speedhacker and that was weeks ago.
even the cheat sites say that not many people are doing it.
the "problem" is the same problem in every game since the damn of time: shit players accusing the game of not requiring skill and/or accusing other better players of cheating cause they suck. |

Sadly, some of us got to beta test Darkfall Online. The PvP is a joke, it takes no real skill what so ever. I think that is the reason some people playing Darkfall Online think they are hardcore. The game is easy mode like the special olympics, everyone is a winner. The video posted by the op just shows what I am talking about. Any 10 year old kid playing WoW can run, click and jump just like the 1v1 video. What is even more funny is all the people hacking Darkfall Online to win a fight. |

Infact there are lots of places like this unreported. People can legitly go under the world and gank so even if the devs had a way to see whos hacking or not, this slips under the radar. The other exploit has to do with manipulating your mount. it seems it bugs out and when you dismount you have mount speed and no stam loss without the aid of hacks. In forumfall for every 1 person that claims the game is hax, exploitable free 10 players claim its the other way around. Its hard to know whos telling the truth. How can we belive a fanboy who claims the game is perfect when you can find tons of things that are not. One of the biggest factors to belive this game is hacked heavy is the fact that to much data is saved client side. That kills any type of game that offers multiplayer. Games that save all the info server side can be hacked but it takes a pro, someone who prob programs for a living or loves to dmg other peoples creation. Games with client side data can be hacked by someone with little skill and are a joke for real hackers.
Idiots are the ones who use speed hacks or teleport to gain an advantage, they always want to win or grief. the good hackers will use their hacks when no one is around or the ones that are undetected like the one that turns off all the textures so you can see people from afar ect , they will also die to take off any suspicion that they cheat.

and all new MMOs have them. even mature MMOs like WOW, EVE, etc introduce exploitable bugs with every new content patch. hell, WOW and EVE have some exploits that *still* work after 5 years of being out...

So, they simply included one of the old quake macros into the combat system, and your still saying it takes skill, when even the most basic of attacks first used almost a decade ago, is automated.

I usually tell people DFs combat system is like CoD. Only leftclick and it "takes no skill". Anyone can just run around in circles and spam LMB and they will win every fight! If they understand im using sarcasm..then they are ready to play. Maybe people that never have played a FPS cant understand the difference towars the usually used locked target spamming "abilitys" combat system we see in other PvE MMOs. So naturally they will whine and say this is easy, compared to the other..... But i didnt get how the archer could get so much airtime?? Did he use the knockback, or something?? |
