Im downloading the trial now. i have been dieing to try this game out.

huge client D: im scared to know how big the "full" game is. If its any good. ill look into it in june.

So. just want to know. how good is this game? i heard it sucked. but those was from all my WoW friends.

I want input from actual players of the game.

Im anxious to play.

also. i forgot i made a account with my trial key already. but never downloaded it. I didnt activate my account by verifying my email. do i still have those 7 days? or did a couple of those days already go by from using the key to make a account.

I played it at release and had a little bit of fun but it was too buggy.  When i heard abou the 7 day trial I tried it again and I am having some fun...once you get out of the tortage bs gankfest.  If you can just get through tortage it gets better.  The graphics are amazing and the combat system makes it incredibly fun.  Im glad i came back and i reactivated my account for a month to try and get some guy some lvls and see what some higher up content is like.

The days are already passing. Doesn't mean you can't make a new account :D

As far as game goes. It was ok. It wasn't my cup of tea because of the zones. it wasn't as open as I wanted it to be. Gameplay is fun. Give it a shot. You might like it.

Yes. Age of Conan sold more than 1 million copies not long after launch and lost about 80% of those people within the first few months. The game was so horribly buggy and unfinished that the official Funcom forums had to become a police state to stop all the hate. Then the lead game designer resigned/got fired from Funcom, complaining that the game was not going in the direction he wanted.

Age of Conan is a terrible game produced by an even worse company. The combat system is nonsensical and most people have figured out that they can program macros on their keyboards to make them fire. If you don't, you'll soon find that they only really work in PVE, and only when they actually fire properly. In PVP, most people will simply run circles around you, making combos impossible.

Please don't take my word for it though. Try the game for yourself, but play beyond level 20. Get beyond the initial feeling of being amazed at what you see, and soon the veneer will wear off, revealing an instanced, unpopulated game, with many annoying features.

If you take a tour of the forum you'll soon see the fanboy/flamer -mentalities in heeps.

Don't expect to get cold facts here, but rather someones opinion.

Since you obviusly want to know how AoC is, I say try the fre trial-version and find out for yourself if you like what it has to offer.

Hey, I  was on the 7 day trial and I  really liked it so I  subscribed. I  now have a level 30 Assassin and I  am still really enjoying it. The community is friendly and contrary to popular opinion there are quite a lot of people online. For me, so far so good.

By the way it is only a gank-fest if you roll on a PVP server, I  think I'm stating the obvious here but if you don't like that kind of play then don't roll on a PVP server. I  am on EU-Crom and it is fun!

I was going to buy the game at gamestop. but the guys there made it sound like the nudity in it was outrageous so my mom wouldnt let me buy it T_T

Alot better than launch and yes more people coming to play again (maybe not tons of people but yes more people). Ironspine and Set are the best general pve servers.

Imo..it is worth playing. A good game. I still don't know why the nudity thing was a selling point...I can't recall even seeing one bare breast since starting the game a few months ago...I have a 42 level assassin. I think I have seen some side boob...but...despite having great graphics...i do feel the female models are lacking and seem to have the same face...with just slight variations like wrinkles and/or eye color. Then again...the promise of boobage was never an influence on my purchase. I loves me some Conan and Robert E. Howard.

Yes is a good game

Dont have a lot bug yet (dont have crash since few month), sound and graphic is good , people resub in this game , popularity on rise ,melee combat is great..

Class not very balanced but with update 1.05 they  will are better balancing..i hope and need more end game but this is a new mmorpg... update and expension coming

i played few mmorpg and this one is the best for me...i said try this game...20$ with one free month is not expensive.

Also....try amazon if you are hesitant to purchase the game. They have some incredibly (almost sadly) low prices. I bought mine new for $6.00 + 3.99 shipping. There were several available at around this price and several used games for ...get this....50 cents to one dollar + shipping. Considering the first 30 days is free...you can't beat the price....and there is a good chance you'll re-sub. So...there you go.

Sexuality is repressed by society while violence isn't. That's pretty much it.

As for the game, well; I was one of the more vocal critics against this game at launch. As of now, the game has made massive meaningful improvements (as opposed to WAR) under it's new director.  With that said, I think more can be done to make the combat more fluid at the end game. Many veterans would disagree with me on this matter, but that's something for another day.

Give the trial a try, if anything you can get the game for like 9 dollars, and get a very good amount of bang for your buck.

Ever play Wasteland?

That's the first thing I thought of when you wrote that... ah for the days when a C64 and wasteland took most of my free time.

it was pretty awful at release but now in my opinion its a stronger mmo than most of the others . warcraft included .

Its really nice to see all you guys giving me advice and stuff :)

I think it never was intended as a selling point in the first place, however it was something media focused a lot on in interviews. There is some nudity in the game, but I would say the reason it is rated mature is more due to the blood and gore you see at some places then a tit here and there.
