1. Anyone knows when DF is going to launch? Cause having 1 server and getting the message currently sold out  I DONT consider it launch. And i mean making more servers so everyone who wants can buy the game and come in.Anyone knows when this will happen?

2.I read that ppl are making macros and throw spells at the WALLS to raise their maghic skills. IS THIS TRUE? Cause if it is i m honestly surprised how in the hell the DF community  havent raised a rebellion against AVENTURINE with this atrocity.

This thing destroys the game from every aspect since we were told by them that this game is all about player SKILL.

They only way melee skills and spells should raise is after asuccesfull  hit on atarget mob or player ..BUT NOT THE DAMN WALLS. This is not serious thing and im curious aboutt  DF players opinions about this matter. Good players would raise faster their skills since they hit targets more often but hitting they WALLS? Everyone now will cap his skills sooner or later with just farming macros.

P.S. I was waiting anxiously to buy DF cause its supposelyy is something new and refreshing from wow clones,so i can judge by myself the game and not from what others write good or wrong.

Aventurine is aware of the one server issue. And there are people using macros ingame.

So, there will be more servers. Its not that thay pop up by magic as some want to belive. People actually have to work to set them up.

Most times if you find some one using a macro, you kill him/her. There are some basic skils you can level up by this, noob  magic for example. But the problem is that it does not raise your player skill. It would be as shooting into a wall in CoD. It would be fun and so, but it does nothing for the gameplay. Some may claim you gain skills to give an advantage, but everyone else is also raising skills.....so that wont "matter "either. It will be up to you in the end.

1. It already launched. People paid their money and are playing. That is as launched as you can get. Regardless of the fact they're total amateurs at running a website or handling a business.

2. Yes, it is true. You just spam the skill, no target needed. And most everyone macro levels.

You should also note that the game is not "skill based" as advertised, but is level based. You "skill up" from 1-25 and then your skill improves 1 level. 1-25, 26-50, 51-75, 76-100. 4 levels total per "skill.

You'll find more discrepencies between what is stated to be in the game and what actually is once you get in, if you decide to waste your money for that honor.

Funcom needs to change the /petition command into a general nano called "Summon Personal Jester"
with a 1 hour cast time and 90% fumble rate.

I keep hearing about this cloud computing thing and I bet that's where FC is putting the grahics engine. Right now they're investing in the weather balloon technology to get all the bits of code up there. Helium is expensive so it might take awhile.

Daarco you are incorrect.

Interweb servers DO pop up magically. In fact Talos and gang are camping a spawn right now.

that statement is wrong. Single skills are tier / level based but your char is not depending on level and you can participate on everything in game without you having to watch on your "level".

Can you do something better or can you do something new once you have level 26-50 skill? How about 51-75, or 76-100? If not, then it's not a level. You're not going from one thing to another, usually something better or more powerful.

Thanks for the answers you guys been quite eluminating on this matter i have 1 obsection though.

It does matter hitting a wall and raising some skills. Since other guys are using their skills fighting mobs or other players jeopardising themselves in battles and the other is raising the skills with hitting walls. Its unfair and stupid, and Aventurine better FIX this issue if they want more serious players to jump into the game.

Read the normal sycophantic failboi responses then re-read your statement. You will see that the two are diametrically opposed.

AV has their necessary number of slavering Tasos lap lickers and really doesn't seem to care about your money. I really wish I could run my business that way but if I did I would have been bankrupt years ago. Guess there is a totally different economy in Greece then they had when I was last there 10 years ago.

I still think it is a skill-based game but in a very simple sense with only 4 real skill levels.  The real question is why did Aventurine make the system convoluted with 96 artificial levels?

1: I guess not even Aventurine does know. My guess it about half a year.

2: The sheer NOISE of the many magic users bashing out magic, is the constant sound you will hear in every starter city. Its terrible. Skills in DFO are all raised by usage, and since there are not many mobs and running around is quite deadly, AND people can and WILL loot EVERYTHING you carry, most people prefer to train their skills in save ways, which are ALL more or less silly. Like the many ppl running around naked in combat.

Just game is a shell of a game in any aspect.

MMORPG Character Monuments

...When its time for your character to take a well deserved rest...

1. The game is launched

2. Macros are allowed and are used for skilling up as you described.
