It seems all the chinese ID's are taken or no longer working on the registration guide. Anyone have any ideas on how I can get past this step or where they found theirs?

where is the pvp in this game? I am level 5 maybe too low?

From what I understand so far of playing.  You have to do a quest to unlock the Abyss Gate.  Not sure what level that is.   But the Abyss gate is at the first town you are sent to (for Level 10+ Questing) after you finish your Ascension Quest.  I'm going to guess that quest is probably either 15 or 20. I'm banking on it being 15.

I agree It's probably around the 15-20 range, too bad I rolled a gladiator and from what I'm hearing they suck right now.... damn my love for huge 2 handers, heavy armor and agressive melee combat :(

You will start to see the other faction around lvl20 via Rift's. Non stop pvp at lvl 25 via Abyss.

If you want to duel someone your own faction, right click on them and select the bottom option.

When I double click on the .exe it said something about the Data.z01 file and cancels the setup. The Data.z01 is a zip file and when I double click on it to open it gives me a message saying its invalid. I am running on vista too. Anyone know the problem and can help? I downloaded it twice and still the same.

Just to add, there is also the coliseum (FFA arena) in main city where you can more or less test your skills in group play.

I also edited after the fact and provided all needed links, which the OP apparently neglected to provide.

If i didn't provide links it's because they all were on other mmorpg sites and i didn't wanna advertise those sites in mmorpg.com forums. But if people is lazy to type in google "aion cn open beta" then he/she shouldn't be trying a foreign game at all...is not like someone will die for doing some research on google that takes 10 seconds...lol

Already did enough saying the OB was running, seems like the next time i better don't even bother since there is always some lazy ass who wants everything done.

Ive got the game downloaded and patched but I get this error. It has something to do with gameguard that's all I know.  Im in Windows 7 Beta. If anyone knows a workaround please let me know. If I find a work around, i'll be sure to post it.

I don't know about your error, but are you running the game with non unicode on chinese? if not, try putting non unicode chinese on your regional and language settings, also try disabling your antivirus or firewall.

Gameguard doesn't work with windows 7. You won't be able to play at all unless you install some other windows version.

Oh I think i have everything set on english because I did the english patch and I thought thats what it said to do.. But anyways I'll try it out.  Im using the built in windows firewall.lol yeah ive been to lazy to install comodo. But I guess that will be the next step after I get this game working.

Ya the english patch needs you to put english US on regional language, however non unicode is another thing, if you don't put chinese there you won't see chinese at all, just random stuff or ???? which makes many foreign games not work. To do so you must go to "regional and language options" and then under "administrative" click on "change system locale..." that's it if you had vista, i have no idea about windows 7 ;)

Anyways, if the above post is right you won't be able to run Aion under windows 7, sorry if that's true :(
