Maybe this is one reason I liked swg. There werent really quests like there are in other mmos. It seems like more of a fantasy word and not a sci fi modern or anything with guns kinda world. swg had missions and places you could go to fight harder mobs for better loot. Not instances or dungeons ( at least not untill nge(boo)). I dont know I think terminaology plays a psychological role in game enjoyment. What do you guys think? |

I'm with OP here.. the word quest doesn't belon' in sci-fi settin'.. just like we don't use this word today in the way ppl used it durin' middle ages... |

Couldn't agree more. The only "quest" in pre-CU SWG was the quest to become a Jedi, which was a personal quest if you chose to undertake it and wasn't written down anywhere. Everything else was a mission, and should have been labeled as such. Calling a directive to kill 10 meatlumps a "quest" is just more obvious thievery from WoW. |
