So, of the people watching this game, how many are just fans of Ragnars previous work? Personally, I loved The Longest Journey and its spiritual "sequel" Dreamfall. While the game didn't quite hold me as much, I also loved the backstory to Anarchy Online and read the volume 1 book (that sadly never saw any more) that was released about it. So while I wish I could hate The Secret World to avoid investing myself in another MMO, I feel unavoidbly drawn to it.

I'm a fan of Ragnar's ideals, his focus on story, immersion, socialization and his non-focus on PvP. Whether this has any actual influence on TSW remains to be seen. TSW is one to watch, in any case.

Ragnar does good stuff. Longest Journey was a good game back in it's day, and I played AO for years. It still holds a special place in my heart, as one of the best MMORPGs I ever played (launch issues aside).

A fan of everything he's done so far.

Longest Journey, Dreamfall and Anarchy Online... enjoyed them all (particularly the former two).

I hope I'm not proven wrong with TSW, but I'm of the opinion that he's one of those rare people who just have the "knack" for crafting a great game.

I too have high hopes, not because of who is making the game, but the ideas behind it.

It's a Jeep thing. . .

Ragnar tornquist is likely the best face FC has, 2 superb (the first specially) adventure games with incredibly good and deep stories, and a great back story for AO, possibly Silirrion (Craig Morrison) being the second best face, as he did great things in AO and is doing them too in AoC, both as new game director addressing previous problems.

Ragnar has so far not failed in his work, AO story is very good (and the book prophet without honor), and TLJ/Dreamfall are considered some of the best adventure games ever, their fan bases keep asking for more "sequels" almost daily.

We shall see if Ragnar can keep his track record, now as GD and Producer of an MMO.  Apparently he has had some time (over 10 years from original conception) to cook this soup in a way or another.

The ARG/puzzle elements have been great so far, i hope they can live up to those standards.

Ragnar is easily FunCom's ace card. If they placed him in charge of this project then it is probably their highest mid-long term priority.

None of FC's previous missteps can be attributed in any way, shape or form to Ragnar and that is good news for this game.

I think he has the Midas touch when it comes to story writing. But this is a MMO we are talking about here. Lots of MMO’s with a solid background and good story have not made a splash in the market, so good luck with this Mr Tornquist, any new MMO these days needs a big dollop of luck!
