I think Denmark is a good choice. They have taken great losses in the war effort, I have nothing but respect  and thanks for the people of Denmark.

I'm proud that a fellow Dane has earned such a high post. Congrats to him. And I'm very glad that it happened regardless to what whiny excuses them Turks had about him being an enemy of Islam. It's just bullshitting around to hurt USA. And why the fuck is it that Turkey even has a say? They aren't in NATO, shit they are barely within the geographical borders of Europe. Their way of life and way of thinking belongs in the east, not in the West. I sure as HELL hope they aren't accepted in NATO.

Turkey is already a NATO member............however they are not part of the EU.

Argh yeah that's what I meant lol. Turkey has been a member of NATO for very long time(think it's over 50 years). I sure as hell hope they don't become a part of EU. Sigh... need some caffeine

was a good laugh. nothin against the danish people but the nato is just a pile of shit and all the member states know it too. this organization was made for the cold war and it has to be reformed. but this wont happen because every reform will end to an UN like organization. i wont say that it will die but nato doesnt even worth to be mentioned in the news.

Regardless of it's importance today, NATO is still the most powerful military alliance. Apparently you don't consider being at the highest position in that military alliance for a high post. Good for you. Thanks for the laugh.

     Actually, denmark and NATO DID have to cave in order to get this idiot into NATO - I'm danish so I know a bit about how this guy thinks. Turkey got 6 semi-official conditions conceeded and another 4-6 unofficial points. Turkey walked away a winner , they can now turn to the Islamic world and say "we tried to get him off the table" + they now have an even greater foot in the EU door than ever before. Keep in mind, Turkey , apart from the US Empire, is the single most powerful NATO member in terms of how many soldiers they can put on the ground in the case of 24-48 hrs mobilization. No European country can do that, we got nukes, we got special forces and high-tech equipment, but we just don't have that kind of manpower in terms of what every single country can deliver.

     I won't go into detail of how Anders Fogh Rasmussen has run this country into the freaking ground with his "terror pakage" that has severely damaged the civil and legal rights of Danes, but I can assure you, that I - as a Dane- was cheering for the Canadian candidate. Denmark is pitiful militarily apart from our 2 Special Forces divisions , Jæger Corps and Frømand Corps and we have suffered staggering losses in the damnable Helmand Province along with the Brits That have military command over Danish Forces down there. This guy, Anders Fogh Rasmussen, is a warmonger and on a power greed trip.
