i use to think all online games should be free but i guess i was wrong, most of the people here has their point of view and its vividly to say that it should not be free because there might be bigger problems for the players to have it free, maybe on the server issue...

i would like to see the ability to twink on gear like in anarchy online

I think, Wow needs to fix the lagging issues on the new expansion. It's completely horrid. I couldn't even complete the first few quest on the game because there are so many people trying to do it all at once, maybe before you release another expansion, make sure it can function properly with all these people who play all at once on that server. It is so rediculous. I mean I know there may not be much you can do but, seriously, everyone knew this was going to happen. It just gets annoying after awhile.

But on the real,

I think you shouldn't have to pay Wow every month or so, It should be after every Expansion you get you should only have to buy one card, or make the cards last a year or something. It just racks up to much cash out of my pocket when I don't get paid very well. Sorry it is just a suggestion.

blizzard wants money, they dont give a fuck who is poor or rich in their customer base. they want your money and will do whatever it takes to get people to keep playing and paying

Hahah, Yeah its all dirty business with money. It just fucking sucks when you can't play because of that.

Wow would need better drop rates, imo nothing else to change, it kinda has everything now.

 Well i have been playing WOW since the beta. and i absolutley think that wow shuld not be free. why? ok here are some pointers. on most servers there are guilds that just do PvE or PvP so most rec to get in the guild are age 16+ or 18+ .. the gamerulez for playing are 12+. imo the graphics in the game are abit childish but since the game play is great ill ignore that. WOW started as game for all age 12+ for fun playing, to day its all about dungeon raiding and PvP. so i say pay for the game since no serious guild wont recruit a child anyway.. not saying this becuse i feel that way, just the way the  game has turned into. sad i know. 

Surprised noone mentioned the sheer immense ammount of profit blizzard takes in... When it's all said and done they make billions.

I gave up playing WoW because I honestly felt like if you weren't completely dedicated and had a team of buddies you'd just be stuck beating your brains out after endlessly grinding up levels. I wanted to play with my buddy but the insane amount of dedication to get to lvl 80 just killed my mood for it, which is honestly why I'm excited for Guild Wars 2, being able to team up with anyone at any level just makes my addiction for MMO's grow insatiable, oh and monthly fees suck even Team Fortress 2 has no monthly fees and yet they keep cranking out new material.

WOW doesn't need anything - The devs have set out their future in same old same old and ppl just need to accept that WOW is stagnant and without any real innovated design.

So ... If you want more of the same - stay.  If you want to see something new - unsub and either force their hand or go into the new games coming in next few months.   Its a win/win for the players.

world of warcraft will never go free i dont play wow myself but imagine this.

if i was the big owner of WoW i would make the game f2p with a pay to win cash shop before putting it down.

imagina how much all those addicts would pay for this game they could get LOADS more money out of this game from my point of vieuw but it is good that they wont go that way

WoW probably doesn't need to do anything until it dips below 1m subs (or whatever the break even number is), so given that is as likely to happen as SOE not ruining an MMO, it's going to be more of the same while the masses keep lapping it up.

maybe wow needs many things, but i'm sure it doesn't need f2p. you know many f2p games survives only 1 or 2 years. cause the company will sell items or other things to earn money. that will break the balance of the game. wow doesn't do this, so it lasts so long time.

The way WoW is heading (cash shop and "premium" features), they may as well go free to play.

Because the hell am I going to play a game where you get double dipped just to play it.

For the amount of fixes, balance, updates and community moderation, the game damn well better be free soon.

needs...more of the same.

I hope WoW never dies - so it's terrible community not going to ruin other mmos I like.
