similarities

- both have wide range of pets

- both can summon powershards for other players

- both can summon waterbreathing stones for other players

primary differences

- necro has feign death and can rez others

- conjuror has call of hero which can summon a player to them (if they are in the same zone)

Necromancers are damage over time specialist, with life taps and has a heal for pet and another for group mates. They also get feign death and a revive spell.

Conjuror is a direct damage specialist, with only a heal for the pet, they also have stoneskin for their pet and themselves to take more damage.

Both classes are fun to play, and you won't go wrong with either,  however since I had both, I do prefer the necromancer.

I have not played in a good bit but can't you betray from one to the other?

The Conjuror Also gets a spell called Call of the Hero which can summon another player from anywhere as long as the player it outside the instance

"Possibly we humans can exist without actually having to fight. But many of us have chosen to fight. For what reason? To protect something? Protect what? Ourselves? The future? If we kill people to protect ourselves and this future, then what sort of future is it, and what will we have become? There is no future for those who have died. And what of those who did the killing? Is happiness to be found in a future that is grasped with blood stained hands? Is that the truth?"

Call of the hero is an uber spell.

If you are playing EQ2 to focus on raiding or pvp avoid those 2 classes like plage, the least desirable and stronger of EQ2 nowdays (and in the last 2 years)
