Single player or MMORPG, and when are they coming out?

I always like to recommend not setting up expectations for upcoming releases. Better yet, pay no attention at all. Less disappointment, more pleasant surprises. At least, that's what I find.

Nah, getting all hyped up for years about a game then having it flop is wayyy funner. *ahem* Fable 2 *ahem*

I have never played a sci-fi mmo but Black Prophecy has caught my eye and I will follow it for a while, looks promising.

In order of most wanted.

1. AION

2. Earthrise

3. Global Agenda

4. Jumpgate Evolution

Earthrise, Champions online, Star Trek online, Starwars The Old Republic, Mortal online and DCU looks like it might be cool.

Not waiting for ANY game. Been disappointed too many times. So follow a few....but have low expectations until proven I should think otherwise.

Jumpgate and Aion are the two im most looking forward to.

SW: TOR, Dragon Age: Origins, Diablo 3, Starcraft 2, Sims 3

I'm going to try Aion when it comes out, but I'm not getting my hopes up.  Shares a bit too many similarities to WoW right now and I'm pretty burned out on those types of MMOs.

Plan to try Fallen Earth and Earthrise too.  Will be nice seeing the time of products that the smaller companies put out.  Hopefully some originality.

I really enjoyed the trailer for Blade and Soul, but as of right now there is too little information about it.  Knowing how long NCSoft takes to localize games and how long their beta periods are (Korean B&S Beta is scheduled for Q4 2009) I won't expect to see that in the states till 2011 anyway and who knows what else will be available by then.

Will try Bioware's KOTOR MMO, but also not getting my hopes up that it will differ greatly from WoW...  Bioware does make great games though.

Will definitely play Blizzard's next MMO.

Single player:  The new Final Fantasy in December and Dragon Ages from Bioware.

All these years we were playing waiting game on MMOs

Vanguard, Pirates of Burning Sea, DDO, Tabula Rasa, WAR, AOC, LOTRO, Spellborn, Darkfall

Most of them turned to be crap on the end... (not all)

And now there is almost nothing to look for now.

All upcomming MMOs (slated for next and this year) are far less impressive than above noted ones that turned to be crap.

So what is there to expect?

Diablo 3. Cause it will not be MMO

Current Game developing as I'm waiting for is Diablo 3 and Dungeon Lord expansion and DL2.

Future developer should make game like AC that supports PvE and PvP server then thats my next game to wait for.

EDIT: Do you see i post any MMORPG games? nope its because all sucks except Asheron's Call.

 Do you even realize why those game turns out crap?  Its Questline that tells u where to go from NPC to NPC to do quest and the quest that gives exp reward that you do it again and again for exp.  It limits your freedom to do whatever you want.  Thats 1 of those main reason those MMORPG games sucks right now.

I never anticipated anything on that list. I tried a few just to see how they were but I have always been waiting for AION and afther reading and hearing about games like Earthrise, Global Agenda, Jumpgate and Mortal Online I would say that these sound alot more impressive than all those games on that list.

1. The Day.  A mmorpg from Reloaded Studios. I really like the concept art . You play in the past and the furture. It uses Cryengine 2. (Aion uses Cryengine 1)
2. Guild Wars 2. I played Guild Wars 1 and liked it very much. I dislike they add new playable races. Think they should focus on making content and variations in the classes.
3. Mabinogi:Heroes. It uses the Half-life 2 engine and looks very fun with all objects you can interact with. You can throw a table at the enemy, use the enemy body as shield.
4. Continent of the Ninth. Maybe too much hack and slach
5. Blizzards next gen mmorpg.

1. Diablo 3 - The mother of all rpg games. All mmo gaming will cease until further notice.

2. Champions Online - Will give it a try but no promises long term.

3. Guild Wars 2 - Still waiting for Arenanet to stop being so tight lipped about the game.

4. The Old Republic - Bioware makes great games and this will be no exception.

5. Dragon Age - This will be better than Baldur's Gate.

6. Starcraft 2 - The mother of all rts games will be great once again. 

I think Earthrise and The Agency will be solid games but still would like more info on the game.

Earth Eternal : www.eartheternal.com Looks like a great mmorpg with a quality developer team and has some of the most unique and interesting races to play as I have seen yet in a mmorpg.

Free Realms : www.freerealms.com A whimsical , light hearted and fun game. It's revolutionary feature is that the main focus of gameplay is non-combat based , definitley a new chapter for mmorpgs.
