After watching this a few questions pop into mind:

Will these be just raid bosses, After watching the first promo vid that showed this(some Asmos where fighting it), It did in fact looked to be so. This video showed the Elyos cheering it on so it might be a special boss that will help the Elyos faction.

There are 12 lords in the game (6 for each race). The balaur are a NPC race that will inter a fight if the balance of the two race's are unbalanced but could fight one or both races.

I'm wondering if this Colossus (elyos lord ?) could work like the balaur but would pop in the game in order to help out the elyos faction only ?

Huh.. how 'bout them apples. Didn't even know there wasa new vid out there of that NPC. It will be interesting to see exactly what "it" is.

That's a good question I guess it could be. I pictured the Elyos lords a lot differently well more like  godly versions of daevas but not gigantic. Also he looks more like a giant golem, giant statue then a lord. But really don't know. Maybe he's there to help the Elyos out or he's just a boss now no longer affiliated with the Elyos.

I think the real question is: Just how big was that dragon thing that killed it? Was it just really high up in the sky, or was it even bigger than the Colossus? If it was intended to be bigger, then that's pretty scary because the Colossus is the biggest (possible) raid boss I've ever seen in an mmo, and to have something that's even bigger, well, damn...

On a side note, I think it would be cool to have to take the Colossus down in collaborative stages. For example, having a large group of people distract him in order to keep the damage off of the people who are taking out his legs which would make him fall over in order to let yet another group attack a vulnerable spot that only appears after it has fallen. It would be pretty agrovating to organize a raid like that and get each group to do their part, but it would be a pretty sweet challenge to say the least.

This game looks better and better and I'm considering leaving my current MMO to play AION.Looks like they nailed it right instead of being just a game AION looks like an impressive world.

I hope you can raid them ;)
