I have heard 'sometime in 2009' but considering the Devs are still releasing mainly concept art and only very limited game footage, I don't think we can credibly expect a release this years. Or does anyone know different? Or have any concrete indication of timings? |

My best guess via market analysis would be May 2010. |

im expecting a 2010 release. bioware takes their time with games to make them good. so if bioware screws this up i would be very surprised |

Considering this game has been in development since what, 2005? I would say before Christmas '09. My guestamate is Closed Beta starts in May, then Open Beta (selective) in September and release Nov 26. I sure hope thats how it is :P can't wait to play it. |

No one will be able to provide a reliable answer, all will be SWAG's based on their perception and past experience. For what its worth, 2010 at the soonest would be my guess.

I hope it is released when its ready... NO sooner. I have seen so many games released too early and then totally destroyed before they reach their potential. Lets face it, you only get ONE chance to make a first impression. |

I would not be surprised at all to see this released in 2009. Bioware usually does not release information on a game until it is already far along in development. The Austin, TX Studio for making SWtOR was opened in March of 2006, that's over 3 years ago. They also have more than enough staff and money to get the job done. On top of that they already have a game engine (Hero Engine), which saves large amounts of time. Bioware is very efficent and I think this game will be out sooner than later. However, my prefered release date would be when it's done. |
