I have the same problem - spent hours patching up yesterday, but can't login today.  Unfortunately, their announcement doesn't indicate a time and I can't post on their official forums due to not having an active account.

ya i am having the same problem.  I just tried its currently 10:10 here..i wonder whats going on

its 11 AM EST and i cant log in with my old account i played on for about am onth back in December and January.

Maybe they forgot to set their alarm clocks and overslept?  :)

Yea I got the email, but I couldn't log in either account is inactive, I looked all over to see if there was something I was missing and there wasn't. I just resubbed since I was going to go back anyways. The whole xp requirements has been revamped so if you kill something you gain quite a few lvls till it evens out, I was lvl 21 and I gained 3 lvls now I am all evened out. I don't think I get the bonus XP, but oh well. I don't need things handed to me! Would have been cool though.

I had a sub about 8 months ago, but didnt get a welcome back email.  I am patching it up now but it is still showing my account as inactive so not sure if I will get in.  Did everyone who had old subs get an email?

Is this welcome back thingy for players in the States only? 

As i am in EU an have not received an email from Turbine.

I got one for D&D Online which started on 23/03/09 but nothing for LoTRoL :((

I still can't get in, I can't post on the official forums (have to have an active account) and I didn't get an email (In the US - did get an email for the October 2- 6, 2008 Welcome Back weekend, though).

Hopefully this is resolved soon - it'd be nice to see what's changed.

Codemasters does LOTRO fro the EU, and has nothing to do with turbine. This is NA only AFAIK.

Yep, i went and bugged them for you guys....

This is an issue, but it doesn't affect everyone.

I am able to get in now....edit now i am expired agian. was active for a few minutes

I am not done patching, and the fact that I didnt get an email worried me a bit, but I can now, all of a sudden, log into and post on the forums.  So even though my sub still says inactive in the account page, I might be good to go.

 i am still not in yet. i dont know why i had a paid subscription for one month back near december of 08 that should let me play.
