Hi, Im looking for an asian grinder with the following criterias. And in case anyone was wondering, i came from wow, cox , war. I have a few months to waste before heading to university and am looking for a game in between playing my ps3 and fps games. The fact is, i couldn't care less for features inplemented in p2p games, thus going the f2p route, which is often simpler, more brainless, and sometimes more fun.

1. Little to no crafting - i hate to craft never a fan of it, upgrading, forging of weapons, putting stones in it, that im ok.

2. No quest grinding - i did rather stay in one place kill mobs then run around doing the exact same damn thing. at least i can watch tv.

3. Character customization not very important to me, won't hurt if my swords could glow in different colours though :)

4. WASD is a plus though, since i came from western games.

5. Purpose of end game is PVP. I need a game whose end goal for making you grind is PVP, guild base or arena base or castle sieges are all fine by me.

6. Grouping needed 1/4 of the time. I like a game which puts at least some usefulness to a guild, or grouping up to do some instances, etc. I do not want to play alone defeating the purpose of an mmo.

7. Ventrilo. I know most f2p don't have many guilds that use vent etc, but would like a game with guilds that do, or require communication to at least succeed in the game.

8. Game with reachable level cap, self explanatory, i don't need a game with 200 levels (maplestory, MUonline that kinda crap) or Lineage 2, even that is beyond my patience.

9. Don't really care about RMT, the shop does not bother me, im fine with xp scrolls, gold drop scrolls that kinda stuff, nothing too game breaking though like 1hr invulnerable potions!

10. Don't really care about the amount of classes, however, a game which the ranger, archer, mage DOES NOT own would be a plus.

11. I don't like pets, auto attacking ones are fine(Think WOW warlock), but not those games like ether saga where u need to feed them and morph them.

Games i know people will recommend which i do not want :

Guildwars ( i played afew months of it, small scale pvp, don't like the pve, heavily instanced, don't feel like an mmo)

Perfect world ( as far as i know, this is a quest grinder, the territorial wars are also shitz)

Runes of magic (Played it, too wow like, quests are actually ok in that game, but once u are out of quest u are screwed, item shop which lets u do more quests? outright dumb)

Atlantica online is crap!

If u mention LOTRO u should be shot!

I am dumb, i do not understand EVE!

Games i liked: War(it just felt too casual i need people who log in 12 hours a day ;p), Wow( loved instances, loved grinding, loved pvp but its an old game now and im done with it), Requiem( has most of my f2p criterias, cept the world is quite dead and pvp is not implemented properly).

To end off, i would like to f2p or p2p as long as it follows my criteris to some extend i hope you recommend it, cause i can't find one myself. Thanks.

Cabal comes to mind, it's descent for a f2p grinding game.  It does have quite a few quests though, but you can manage to get by for the most part, especially 20+ by just finding a place and anhiliating mob after mob after mob till you ding a few times, then go get skills and rinse and repeat.

RF Online is kinda close...

A lot of downtime if you choose to mine for ore for lvl your buffs.  Aside of that its all grinding towards endgame PVP.  I would say grouping is almost necessary at higher lvls but that isn't totally true...you could solo but it will be like L2 grind.  Game is heavly gear dependant...to the point where where crap gear makes you seem 10 lvls lower then what you are and awesome gear makes you god.

Since the game is so gear dependant group and large scale PVP is a must.  You won't do anything by yourself without awesome gear.  You'll get ganked a lot by groups of players from other races.  Three races to choose from...I suggest you give it a try since it kinda sounds liek what you want.  Aside from ganking you could play the game and watch TV while you grind.

A wise GM once told me,
"a game is balanced when everyone complains equally about their classes"

I think that Rohan http://www.playrohan.com/ is a decent grind game with PvP end game . They have regular events aswell and arena / city battles for pvp

Since I am in the exact situation as you, and we have just about the same criteria and attitude towards MMO's, I figured I'd give my two cents on some of the recommended games.

Asda story: Tries way too hard to be cute. The graphics are horrid, and it looks like it was made in flash.

Rohan: If you have no intention of hacking, don't bother. 99.5% of the community hacks/bots.

12Sky: Cash shop is borderline ridiculous. You pay to be successful in this game. Looks like almost every other 3D MMO out there.

I actually think Fiesta matches what you're asking for, although it's slightly too wanna-be-cute, and has a very childish community. You can find a mature guild that uses Vent, though.

Have you ever considered Progress Quest?  Once you boot it up, you don't even need to sit at your computer.  Go do some chores, some errands, go to the bar.  Check in on your toon every so often, see how uber he's become.  Progress Quest - an accurate simulation of 99% of MMOs.
