Trying to make a comment on the new ccp hand of friendship being given to BoB but for some reason was unable to post on the thread that was started. Anyone else having the same problem or is it just me. In any case will the same hand of friendship be held out to Goonswarm pilots im sure there are some thoughts on this.

How could anyone not like a goon sub guild.   As a matter of fact community response to goons entering their games is always an interesting study.   I wish I was around in EvE when the first goon posted the first "lets all play EvE" just so I could look at the group dynamic.

Though I was around to watch the first, second, and third forum posts of "lets all play wurmonline".   It was funny to watch the community responses each time, and even more interesting to see how some of the goons became intergrated into the game while those that didn't are pretty much gone.   It was kinda fun having 50-100 true-newbies wandering around and eventually getting to their base the map and answering the question "where the hell is my compas, I'm sick of using the sun" question the first time around.

Not a goon just think they're fun to watch.  

Yea this latest 'Scandall' has already been crushed just go to the EvE forums and read the other version of this Troll topic and read all the posts then look at the one that links you to the GM responce that basically kills this event.

Humm went to the eve forums and read through the posts looks like to me there are several folks asking some tough questions of ccp. Im not gonna say they did what was best for the game but they sure did stir the pot. I know its there game and they can run it anyway they want too. I would say BOB has some friends in high places.

What exactly happened?

I know that bob lost all their stuff to some theft or something but what happened after?

Also i am trying to access their forums but the eve-online website is taking ages to load for some reason..

Basically BoB asked CCP to give them back there Band of Brothers name and they pretty much got it. However trolls are claiming this shows favouratism [despite the fact that this isant the first time an alliance got a name change this way] also thee trolls were claiming that CCP then restored all the lost Soverenty to BoB [which they did not].

Thanks I was trying to cacht up on all this Eve story, I'm not an eve player but was really interested in knowing what was all this about.

I don't really care about BoB getting their old name back in some form. I would care if the rest of the allegations were true, because it would be cheating. Corp and alliance spies are a legitimate way to play EvE and everyone has to be careful, especially something of the caliber of BoB.

Shouldn't this topic be in the EvE forum though rather than the Pub?

Lets just say that EvE has some really old Veteran Haters [trolls] and the OP is one of the older ones.

Back in the days , bob has always delivered good fun wars and i thank them for that.

I quit the game some time ago (which i regret) but back then , no one was hating bob as much as they are now and i still don't understand why , sure their ego was high but why souldnt it be ? they were winning almost every war they had and no i was not in bob , i was part of ASCN .

Anyway i fell sad that the name BoB is made fun of by most of the eve community , let's not forget that  they are founders of eve universe.

BoB brought the angst on themselves.  Molle has always been one of the most arrogant guys in the game, really, and their sense of overweening arrogance us what got everyone to hate them.  BoB had its successes and failures over the course of the game, but the hype was bigger than the success record really indicated, particularly for the past couple of years.

It was never about the name, the name could have been anything. The reason the pot is stirred is because bobr didn't have to disband and pay the 1 bill isk in order to reform under bobr.

i personally think everyone blew this out of proportion. People are just going to refer to Kenzoku as BoB anyways....so whats the big deal then.........

 This whole necroed topic of CCP unfairly helping BOB has really become quite pathetic.

If CCP was in bed with BOB unfairly helping them THEY WOULDN'T HAVE ALLOWED 1 PERSON TO DESTROY BOBs ALLIANCE. 1 backstabbing old BOB member literally disbanded the whole BOB alliance. CCP if they unfairly were helping BOB would have not let this happen.

As I said before....You people need to realize how much isk and assets BOB lost with this.

I really think the mechanic that allows 1 person to disband a alliance of thousands needs to change, but I think people need to drop this fantasy that CCP is unfairly helping BOB just because of this name change.

The far past of that account where someone who used to work for CCP DID unfairly help BOB (over a year ago) was fired, and policies have since then been quite tightened. Stop beating this dead horse already.
