My friends and I all played the game on release and had a TON of fun....for the first 2 tiers.  We all ended up having several characters in tiers 1 and 2 b/c it was fast-based and we saw accomplishment with playing b/c leveling wasn't too much of a grind.  However, this didn't last long enough and we ended up quitting after about a month (all of us!).  Our mains made it to low tier 3 and it really became evident that the game was just a HUGE (ONE) scenario grind for the last two tiers with absolutely nothing to look forward to.  There was no point to make it to the top.  Sure you could grind out the rr levels, but for what?  Not only was the ONLY other aspect of the game (world pvp) dead, but even if it wasn't...what was the point of that?

Anyway, I could probably rant about how completely empty and pointless the game felt to us at the time all night;  however, I'm curious to know if the game has made a big enough turnaround?  The gameplay itself was fun but there was really no point/drive to keep playing.  Has this changed?  Is the game still only fun for the first 2 tiers (btw, I think it was very smart of them to offer a free 10 day trial b/c  they could definitely get buyers/subscribers for tier 1/2 play)?

In summary, should i move along and not bother or is there a purpose now?

Hop on Monolith server and Re-roll to your favorite class, or to one of the two new classes. Do yourself a favor and join/start a guild, even if it's only with a few players. Friends make the game go round. The new ORvR rewards have EvERY teir jam packed with people in the RVR lakes. There are a ton of bug fixes, content updates/patches etc. Try it, if you liked it before you will be even more pleasantly suprised.

This world RVR reward thing sounds interesting... Can you please elaborate?

1)  How many rewards are there?

2)  Are the rewards really worth it?

3)  Are they difficult to achieve?

4)  Does destruction still WAY outnumber order?

The RVR rewards are based on INF, like Chapters. So you get three items when you max out the INF for that Tier like High Elf Tier 2 RVR, for example. I think it has been a great addtion. If you have the patience, you can max out each realm in a tier. I've noticed that some of the rewards end up lasting a while and are better than just about any reward you'll get in a quest, or Chapter INF reward.

... And the armor sets are more likely to drop in open RvR now.

I quit as well after a month or two.. but I came back lately and I enjoy the game. I think it's the best MMO out there right now, and there's still some interesting stuff that's going to be added in the next couple of months..

 I'm loving this game, just entered tier 2.. maybe i don't know much yet, but as soon as i got in tier 2 a 60v60 siege.. awesome

My WoW sub ran out and I got WAR today to give it a shot. I'm having a lot of fun, not sure how long that will last. Probably 2 months and then I'll go back to WoW lol.

1). Can be as many as 9 per tier if u get max RVR influence in all 3 rvr pairings, e.g. dwarf Vs greenskin, etc.

2). They can be.

3). Depends on how good the enemy is.

4). Not really.  I play on Iron Rock, which at this time appears to be the most populated server, hitting High / High pretty often.  It gets to Full at times on the destro side but it's not so much that it can't be overcome.  On some servers I hear that destro is really hurting though. 

As the game gets better and better. I'd wait going back it to, there's alot of Slayers and Choppas atm, which is OP atm. And the devs states they are looking to improve oRvR and RvR in general. So if you want it better than it is now, wait and see.. :)
