I think that sofia's problem is that blobbing is detrimental to pvp skill and really is hurting the pvp side of the game.

when the answer to "how do i win this fight" is not a clever fleet manouver, or unexpected target calling or simply having a great gang behind you full of battlehardened pilots but simply "i shall bring a fleet that outnumbers theirs so much that they have no chance at victory" you see no skill development in your pilots and people start avoiding fights. thats not a good thing.

eventually everyone ends up banding together in naps and refusing to engage in a fight unless its a massive lagfest with capital support, and that shuts out anyone who isnt a member of a massive powerblock.

teaching newbies to pvp by blobbing just ensures that when they graduate they will continue with the same old habits.

So is gate/station camping and hunting noobs or ratters.
You can't blame EVE Uni for game mechanics.

EVE University are exploiters that wardec themselves with alt corps until it will cost billions to wardec themselves and then they just make their alt wars mutual to avoid the costs.

Itinerant MMO player.

Grats to EvE University. Though I've never used them, what they stand for is good, despite some people disagreeing with how they teach PvP. Making the game easier to understand for new players in general is a great idea. Having player mentors help is much nicer than an automated tutorial.

Back in EvE. Started with BatMUD. Main MMOs have been EvE and DAoC.

"Criticising other oeople's effort is very easy - making an effort yourself is much harder and takes more energy - and you take a spotlight by doing it so other people that don't make the same effort feel they have the right to criticise, and the obligation to "correct" what you are doing wrong, while  not being prepared to put up and do it themselves.

Perfectly put. Wether or not it applies here, thats something to always remember and consider.

Ugh, Eve University.

Such a blight on New Eden that I can't even begin to vocalize my disgust for what they do. Teaching people to blob and mission run isn't education, nor is it an accurate portrayal of Eve whatsoever.

I say that as someone who was part of Eve University for a couple of months whilst I still had the naive mindset that many newcomers have.

ahh the self entitled generation has spoken

I played Eve a few times and found myself at Eve University twice. Though I didn't enjoy Eve that much, thanks for taking your time to help new players! Take care!
