Ok, i have played the trial and i loved it, and today i went out and bought the game, is there a specific server that is better to play on than another, such as most populated or best community? Thanks

It depends. Each server has it's own unique 'personality'. Landroval is the 'unofficial RP server'. Elendilmir is the 'unofficial Oceana server'. Meneldor is high population, Vilya.. Take a look on the forums on lotro.com and do a search. There are community listings as to player preferences.

As for community? I've been playing since closed Beta 2, and I just can't seem to remember a time when people have claimed one server was filled with jerks over another. It's a remarkable group of people in total that play.

Welcome to the game, and enjoy your time in Middle Earth!

try brandywine, that server has pretty nice people to hang out with, with mature musicians and people areee pretty mature and helpful at brandywine.

I've found the community great. Another famous game no-one answers you in the main chat and another even more famous game people can't wait to jump on and make fun of people asking advice. I haven't seen that at all in LOTRO.
