These city is amazing,  its location , its layout ..great  

I just see a game that has the graphics of over 10 years old and a poor art style that attracts noone who has taste. Like i just think why would anyone want to invest in a world that is more boring than our own? Like I can have more fun watching the chips i put in the Oven cook.

i don't play darkfall but am certainly interested in the game itself but.........

seeing the hordes roll out at the beginning was cool - saw something odd though - if you are an idiot and run out to the edge of a cliff your don't fall? - - - seems kind of strang for what is considered a "hardcore" game

something that wasn't explained from the video - what does this accomplish - do the attackers actually get to claim the enemy city or do they have to stay camped to accomplish some end?

the ending text states continental control - how does this work?

They pushed to clanstone and declared war ..these was a pretty big  task in itself ..

I am not sure if  video shows then shots of the 4 hours of battles that followed till the city was formally  won ..because the defenders tried of course to regain control ..

it was the "capital" of a continent called Yssam ..that is smaller then Agon and  it is hold  by  Zergs called the Goons ..control just means they the new owners of that city ..

You guys are a joke... This video looks amazing and i wish i was apart of this seige. Who cares about bad animations when you get gameplay that looks that good.

Shadowbane is much more hardcore than Darkfall.

This is not exciting at all. To each their own, but i ll pass, and have since beta.

Was the city empty? There were hardly any defenders in the video. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be impressed here.

I see a bunch of guys having a great experience, planning the battle and traveling there and fighting. And the others defending it. This is what MMOs should be about...

...among other things, and this is where DF fails. But still, very nice for the ones that enjoy it.

didnt see many defenders. But it looked like fun for the people who played. The combat looks terrible, but if the players like it then good for them.

Wrong answer. You should be convincing them that it is terrible and that they need to realize they don't really like it. You need to make sure they know that they only think they like it because of their extreme fanboism over the game.

Okay well...from a female perspective, that's just gross...but whatever.

I think the video looked like a bunch of people having a great time raiding an opponent's city.  What on earth could be wrong with THAt?  I have to agree that the graphics look ancient, and I do love me some great graphics, however.....if the gameplay sucks, the graphics start to not matter so much.  Conversely, if the gameplay is FUN.....simply FUN....lackluster graphics (and many other things) can really easily be overlooked.

FFS....we thought PONG was a blast back in the day.  I mean seriously....we had two player controlled lines and a bouncing "blip."  And we had a blast playing it!  This is far far far beyond THAT graphically!  LOL

I'm really happy that those who like the type of game that DF is....have a place to play it, and play it happily.  Every game that caters to ANY part of the gaming market and makes some percentage of players happy....is a good thing.  Isn't having FUN the point?

yes its gross, and im sorry for that.

my point was:

before darkfall was "released" us none-fans should listen to the ramblings of fans, how great the game was, and how many features there were.

now its "here" and suddenly all the promissed features are NOT important, its only the FFA-pvp.

Yeah it was epic. With proportion 3 to 1 (at least) it took really brilliant tactics to take a city. Considering there is no even city walls so far...

 2 hours to get there then left click, left click, left click, Is it just me that thinks that even with 'good videos' the combat is dull and repetative? Oh wait he chugged a stam potion....wow some cariety. Better protect thos mages....they must have macroed for days and days (only way to eally become a mage right now).
