No two people choose their characters for the same reason is a 'saying' that basically means that people choose their characters for different reasons. Not everyone does it for the same reasons.  Some choose based on movement others choose based on how the character looks when fighting. Others like to look at the curves of female artwork the list is long. But i have a feeling you already know what i meant and was trying to be facetious. Either that or a moron but i will give you the benefit of the doubt. I guess a reply from you will reveal one way or another.

i dont think its that much of a big deal .after all these games are fantasy .and if guys plays girl and girls play male charcters .no BIG DEAL!!!

     This is a funny subject.  I would have to honeslty say it is not a deep down gay tendancy.  expecially with a game like Age of conan.  me and my buddies have female charactors just see who can make the hotest one.  I think its more of a hunger for the opposite sex.  guys are a dominate sex and the norm would be for a male to have a submisive female.  what better way to have a submisive female than one you can control like a puppet.  i can make her do what ever the game allows.  if the game allowed letting her get it in the end persay well the guys would have there female charactors bent over all over the servers lol.  who disagrees. excuse my spelling i suck.

Willyp76 you mention the above. Intreating vewpoint. But I disagree why on earth would I want to use my female toon in this way?? Cheep sex to me is a waste of my time.

Oh yes and since you do acnkwolage you have a spelling problem to give yourself some credit maybe you should cut a past your posts to a email prog that lets you spell chk first.

I don't know why girls have ever gotten their hands on skirts. All they get is a blatter infection if it's to cold (as it can in skirts), and all men gets i poor sperm quality if it gets to hot (as it can in pants). So basicaly all men should wear skirts/kilts and women should wear pants.

As for why some guys play a gal toon, I have no answer. I know many that play a gal, and they all say, they would rather watch her ass then a guy's.

I am a female WoW player and I do not  like guys who play female characters, ( no offense) but  I strongly feel like you should not portray something you are not.  I know a guy  who plays a female toon and told  me he was in real life  a  female and I start building a bond between us because I have found another female playing WoW and its awesome.  I was guildless at the time and after several days she had me invited to her guild .. this girl that I had shared some really private secrets with and stayed up late at night  leveling  together, a girl that I trusted and built a relationship with as a close friend.

A couple days later  I had my 1st raid with the guild and was told to get on vent, to my shock and disappointment I found out that she was a he and had been deceived, I asked him why he lied to me he put me on ignore.  I think  guys should play a male toon and be honest with theirselves and others and females should play female toons, that way there is no question about their integrity.  I have heard people make lame excuses that they would prefer to look at a female but all day than a guys well I would rather look at a guys butt all day than some female but I dont go around playing a male toon just to see a males butt infront of me because I realize that these are just paper dolls they are NOT real and I dont need to fantisize that they are.

I asked this one guy once why he plays female toons, and he told me because people give him stuff. I have gotten to the point that if a female toon asks for gold or anything else in-game I will not help her, but if a male toon asks for help I am glad to help if I can.

Its their choice. As long as they dont pretend to be the other sex when asked in order to get benefits from other players (Sad thing is when a girl plays an mmorpg a lot of the time guys will want to help her but when a guy asks for help everyons is suddenly busy.) but yeah as long as they dont abuse it like that I dont care.

Funny topic, as I most always play women toons, I do thios as to try to make the eyecandy more appealing to myself by trying to make the toon as hot as possible, but i do indeed feel a bit of sorrow for women really p[-laying female toons, as a real example when in swg some creep PM'd me asking if he could pay me with ingame credits to watch me change clothes in my house, I was like dude yer f'ked and quickly put them on iggy lol.

I understand from your post citadel that someone betrayed your confidence and afterwards also treated you unfairly on top of that. I think that was a pretty shitty thing to do.

It's unfortunate that some use character gender to mislead people and I am aware that it happens quite a bit, but that doesn't automatically make every guy playing a female character a twisted or evil person.

I would like you to consider not holding it against a guy playing a female character if he's honest about who he really is from the get go. There are plenty guys who play female characters who don't mean anything bad with it.

I don't know why anyone would flame you. Especially since you explained what you base your opinion on. Also, you used the word portray which I feel can imply dishonesty, while simply 'play' is more neutral and can be harmless fun. Right?

This was my FIRST post here on MMORG. To be honest I had no clue it would of done so well. I am happy that it attracted many to leave a reply. I think that what I got out of the WHOLE post is that some are against it a few that is and that is. All right they have the right to be. While most are for it. Remember it is just a game play to have fun. Play as a GUY or a GAL to me it dont matter just have FUN.

Conclusion.

It all comes down to what you like to look at, if you like to look at female toons while you play, then Play one, if you like to look at male toons then play one, 90% of the time your really not looking at your toon, your focusing on the mob, where your going, whats for sale on the markets, the chat box and a ton of other stuff that is going on in the game.

If your standing about just staring at your toon then you need to STOP and play the game its what your playing for.

I enjoy playing a female character as well as a male, depends on mood, i dont care any opinions about my playstyle, its just me and my life, everyone should know that.

It has nothing to do with getting aroused.

Speaking as a guy who plays mostly female characters.  They are just more pleasant to look at which has nothing to do with being aroused. 

That's actually kind of insulting of you. To imply that I play city of villains to get aroused. That's just wrong.

I would rather look at pandas than cockroaches, that doesn't mean pandas turn me on. It's just a choice, man butt or woman butt, I choose woman butt.

For the me it's more about the fact that most models for men look rather horrible whereas the famele ones doesn't. Additionally the armor for female characters have a tendency to be better looking too, at least in Guild Wars.
