Since I dont play the game, and never meant to play it either, I would like to ask a question to all those that supported it and still do: Remember the ongoing war about how long in development that game was (I was insisting it was well over 10 years) and some 80% of this forum's subscribers were actually insisting how good this was because the end product will be finished and all these excuses? What do you guys have to say now, that its common knowledge that this game had at least another 2+ years to develop? Not only that but you now have to pay 50 euros to endure 4 hours queueing? What is this? People are crazy or what? |

I went from many years of playing WoW straight to Darkfall. Right now i feel crazy for even bothering with WoW in the first place. So to amswer your question. If DF have 2 years left of developent, i could not be any happier. Because you already now have alot more to do in DF then you will ever have in WoW. But why do you care really? You even say you dont have any interest in Darkfall! |

If it would be 4 hour queues all the time I couldn't play, this is just in primetime. I get home from work around 18:00 GMT and there is hardly any queues. They are making improvements in queues and hope to eventually remove them totally, naturally this will never happen but I think they will shorten queues much already this week by increasing the server capacity and so forth. I will be playing DF no matter what, it's the only game with full loot, seamless world, sandboxyness and skill system |

I heard the other day that surprisingly the business of selling land on the moon is not going very well, so sellers were forced to drop prices... but still there have been many that bought a land there :p So, essentially I want to know how much more air Tassos is able to sell... that's all To be franc, I don't believe that you left 10 years of WoW, to play queuefall |

To get your head around why, you'll have to understand the majority of the DF fanbase. Most of them are disillusioned with the MMO genre as a whole; they're either Old Schoolers who have seen the demise of their beloved game, or ex-WoW players-turned-haters who saw DF as their saviour. These people put their faith into DF because of what it represents, rather than what it actually is. Yes it's a sandbox, FFA PvP with full loot - but it's a very shoddy example. They cling on to this game like rats on a sinking ship because it is literally all they have. They would rather play this poorly implemented game and put up with all the crap because they can't face going back to WoW or living without an MMO at all. They're also under the delusion that somehow this game is a poster child for sandbox games and that by championing it, they are pioneering a new era in MMO's. Sadly, this could not be further from the truth. |

I don't see sincerity in your comments. Basically, you're not approaching this from a psychological perspective, nor a scientific one. If you were truly interested in mass psychology, or sociology, your first act would be to let the outcome prevail. In other words, you don't use phrases like "how much more a producer can torture him before giving up". Do you understand what I'm explaining? The point is this: just because you think AV is "torturing" them, that doesn't mean they are being tortured. What you are doing is a classical "wrong" in psychology, or even science. You're putting YOUR beliefs in question, not theirs.

How you recovered from vaportrolling ?
It had to happen one day, I actually agree with Darth on something. OP is not really asking a legitmate question, rather is just trolling by trying to call people who buy and enjoy DF 'crazy'. We just don't need any more threads like this, but kudos to folks who gave a ernest answer. |

You're making a mistake saying that everyone that followed and supports Darkfall said that it was good that it took 8 years and that it would be finished. That's not what most supporters felt or believed. I support Darkfall because it has the features I want. 1. PvP I'd have been happy if it was a big company that made it. If a company comes along with a better game that has what I want I'll play that. I feel that only a small independent company could make this game because investors wouldn't support the features, caving in to attract more customers. The game is fun, I have played it, it does have all these features, I played them. If you want a real Psychology project you should look into why people would go in to a forum about a game they never intend to play just to bash it. I don't like fanboi's any better than the next guy, but at least it makes sense for them to be here. Asdar |

How you recovered from vaportrolling btw ?
Why recovered? It's still vapor. Alpha stage paid vaporware with 4 hour queues. It's even worse than it was 1 month back. If you call this a recovery... |

I am actually calling them disillusional fools, ready to pay for the air they breathe. And while I am at it, here is another question: Those that paid for that scam and want to bail out, why don't they demand their cash back? Is there any speculation or even hint in the agreement they signed indicating 5mins of play and 4 hours of queing? Sometimes, even the internet lows... |

Years ago in a random game forum I read the following sentence: "Mmh, the game itself became boring, I am playing this game because of my guild." |

I'm not sure why you are posting. In one sentence, you're trying to tell them that Darkfall is torturing them, in the next you are calling them disillusioned fools. Why should they listen to you? ----------------------------- |
