Why start a 2nd thread asking the same question?

Coming from WoW, perchance?

Depends.  If you play a Destruction toon, then with the Choppah AoE walls you will win pretty much every SC, so lots of renown and fast leveling for you.

QFT!. LOL. For some reason, I'm not seeing any Slayer walls. I don't think Order likes playing half-naked dwarves.

Yes, the game is a lot of fun.  I mostly play the scenarios as they seem to be more fast-paced and helps me get my daily adrenaline rush.

Order wins as much if not more than destruction in the scenarios because they have probably even more Slayers than choppas and healers which destruction always seem to lack, lol.

It's not that Order doesn't like playing the Slayer, it's because the Choppa is insanely overpowered.  Go figure; the devs play destro.

On my server all i've done is scenario's in T3 and all I've seen is 2 slayers all night yet the scenario's are brimming with choppas rapeing everything.

I think so, I just resubbed and started a Engi and DoK and so far having a blast. A lot has changed since I played(only played the first month after launch). I plan to roll a Choppa or Slayer tonight(probably Choppa, since they seem to own even though a nerf will come pretty quick I am sure).

-Currently playing Aion.
-Played EQ, AoC, LoTRO, WOW, War, Eve, FFXI, and DFO.

Ermmm I don't know about that when yu go back your going to be playing in tier one and tier one is even more refined now so you will have the time of your life then when you get to the higher teirs you will hten realize you've wasted your money.

I just started playing WAR and I think its a fun game.

I'm not really into picking every game apart as long as I have a good time I'll play.

Yes WAR is worth playing.

Not a chance. Maybe if you're coming from WoW and looking for "WoW with more scenarios/battlegrounds" but otherwise, not a chance in hell, because that's exactly what it is.

hmmm..... I didn't know WAR was a PVE raid focused mmo.

WAR seems more like a More casual friendly Version of DAoC to me.

Even the combat feels like a mix of DAoC and a combo of EQ2/Lotro, nothing like WoW.

What makes you say this is "WoW with more battlegrounds" ?

Seems strange to me.

I think he means the grindage for Resist gear in the PvE areas. Like someone said before the gear in Warhammer is like Pokemon.. "gotta collect 'em all". You need all your resist gear to progress at higher levels or it's damn near impossible to keep playing. So some people go on 50+ more runs hoping for their particular pieces to drop as the rate is.. wonky.

Some of the Lords will drop you in seconds without that gear depending on class.

That sounds pretty awesome. In WoW I always hated that people could farm tier 6 gear while not even completing Tier 4-5 sets.

I always thought you should have full tier 1 from MC to unlock BWL, then full Tier 2 to unlock AQ40 and so on. I hated people that got free rides.

Are you telling me everyone is required to have a proper set to complete certain content?

I actually like having to put serious time into a game to have a nice set of armor and see cool content.

I look forward to higher levels. Sounds like some serious gear set progression.

Yep, spot on. I predicted this before the classes were released that many more people would prefer playing a bad ass orc than a half naked fat, short dude. And I was right, there are many 2-3 times as many Choppas than Slayers on Eltharion.

I mean its such a no-brainer that I dont really understand why Mythic didnt see this coming. Order already have wierd looking classes such as elven males that look like women and KotBS that are dwarved compared to Black Orcs and Chosen. Do we really need another wierd looking Order class. Is that smart?

Nope, its Mythic.

I've done a fair few scenario tonight and all but 2 had at least 3 choppas in and they all ended the same, a wall of orcs spamming lotz of choppaz and killing anything in the way in seconds. In comparison i'am seeing relatively few slayers maybe only 1 for every 4 choppaz I'am seeing.

Well from what i've read both the WE and Marauder have been hit with the "nerf bat".

Probably why you're seeing so many Choppa's.

nice rewards :-)

Its a great time to come right now because many people are rolling the new classes and will try to level with you. You can expect great Orvr in T2-T3 and T1 right now for a while as people level up.

Let's say you just turned 40 and have RR at 40. You can actually acquire pieces that are higher RR (say 50) but you can't actually wear until you get more of that renown. So you have to be of the appropriate level to actually wear them. So yeah, you can farm them without being able to wear them.. some guilds take their members on runs like that until some get it, but usually its for people who can actually wear it.

The problems come when you do a run, and they drop bags with gear for classes that you don't even have in your group, which happens a lot. Basically that PvE is like running Kara and other PvE dungs in other games. You can run them plenty of times and not get any for weeks. Or get lucky first time. Reportedly, Mythic is looking into changing how the loot drops, so you should stay tuned on that.

In order to be effective against Lords and higher ranks, you need certain gear or you simply get hit too hard. Certain classes get vaporized without proper healing and proper gear because they are squishy but melee in the pack. That's where the AoE mows em down.

Ahh so drops work like Pre-Tbc WoW? I remember taking forever collecting my might set. six freaking months farming one set.

Ahhh some good memories. I hope they don't put a token system in WAR, I didn't like that about WoW.

Would rather a system that creates a loot table at the beginning of a run that is useful for the classes in the group but not as easy as a token system.
