We had to build a whole new fence because he would hope over a 6 foot fence without even thinking. I think we ended up with an 8 foot fence in the end!! Seeing a doberman run full speed is just nuts. If you get chased by one your only chance is to climb. We didn't clip his ears and they look so much better floppy. Now my misses went and bought a yorkshire terrier tha wont shut up. Hard to imagine they are the same species!
