It's true that people from Mediterranean countries enjoy a much slower pace of life. Everything takes an age to get done. It's the rest of the world that wants things done yesterday. I think Tasos is only just starting to realise this.

Easy: because AV can't buy another server ^^

As an european, i'd be happy to pay for an european mmorpg, but i can't

- french mmorpg (the worst omg) : Dark and Light

- greek mmorpg (OMG) : darkfall online

- english mmorpg (OLOL) : roma victor

I play european solo games: Mount and Blade, Gothic 2/3. But i only play US mmorpgs.

I understand now. It all makes sense.

You are right Lobotomist, without taking into account that Tasos was from the beautiful country of Greece, it all makes no sense. But with the right mindset it all does make perfect sense.

The bigest problem at the moment is people getting stuck in a queue.

Adding another server will remove that problem.

The problem is that you can't just rent a server for a month. You have to be sure that you will actually need the server for at least a year. Apparently Aventurine doesn't have the money, can't get investors, or in worst case they don't think they will need more than 1 server in a year from now.

There's one other thing the Greeks inveted that I think you've forgotten, and that's called a TRAGEDY!

I see Tasos as a young Oedipus, sooner or later he's gonna kill his father then marry his mother and poke out his own eyes so he doesn't have to see his children. I can see Downtoearth and Darthraiden leading him from website to website to beg for donations and food and shelter.

I am Greek and I can say for sure that Greece (as a developer industry region-wise) never had any experience in making proffessional games before. Matter of fact I am starting to believe that Darkfall was on the making 8 years because AV didnt know shit in the first years and they accomplished not even the half that other gaming developers achieve in 2 years.

I've been following the game for a while, and when i beta tested i was like, "wtf were they doing for 8 yrs, there's nothing to the game". Then I remembered that they once said that they could have finished the game much faster if they used a ready made engine, so for one, they were working on the ENGINE most of the time. And also, nearly all the promised features are in the game and the game world is amazingly done... its just that the devs apparantly worked on NOTHING other than that, they apparantly didn't put ONE SECOND into thinking about how to balance features, and how to impliment them correctly. I mean there are some serious common sense failures present in Darkfall.

Thats the problem. They ignored anything, and now the game is just a pile of crap. My friend attented to that demonstration at Athens about DF and its funny how tasos or whoever the hell was there made DF look so good when he was talking about it.

This is about as truth as it can be said about tasos but he failed with this(He cares only about quality.) What quality? I dont see it ?

And one other thing this game is mostly a project of the norwegian developers tasos only join them with aventurine.

I think after all tasos was the worse man to choose as partner for this porject he fucked it all up:(

They should sack him, he ruined darkfall:(

So what you're getting at here is that Darkfall is what you can reasonably accept from a bunch of itinerent Greek stoners?

From all the fallout I've seen, I can accept that.

  Today is the first day Darkfall pissed me off. They took 16 hours to make a patch that did not fix the REAL issues such as sync and lag. Instead they put a patch to make it harder for people to harvest. Who really gives a shit if its harder to harvest I want to fight mobs and players that arent teleporting due to lag and sync issues.
