Wow after playing for 20 minutes i found out it is terrible. Where is the functionally UI ? Totally counterintuitive to use that UI. Crap graphics and where are the other players ? The world is empty of others ..

"Easy" only equals "better" for crack addicts and MMORPG developers.

Why bother posting OP? You obviously decided you didn't like the game before you even downloaded the trial. Giving a game 20 mins? Or was it cause the set-up is not the exact thing as your former game? People who try any game for a few mins then start ranting about how is suck is the reason games keep getting dumbed down. To suit the lower IQ players that keep loggin on.

Wow, talk about hyper a.d.d. You more than likely were in the tutoral, its not like the game, takes about 30mins to get off that station, lol give it another 10mins before you come to a judgement.

If twenty minutes is you time limit on deciding a games fate, I would recomend sticking to the consoles.

I never take seriously the opinion of someone whose name is "<stolen part from one genre or property><stolen part from another genre or property>."   Likewise other pastiches like "Captain Bart Sparrow."

Arguing with me will not make you right.

erm note to troll your signed up 2005 and by your signature are obviously not a "new player"

its taken you how long to post this post? lol

if you want to like troll at least be a bit less obvious and remove your signature cause well otherwise it is what it is a person who bought this game in 2003 coming to the board like 6 years later after he bought it making a post about it sucking 6 years after he bought the game

I played a lot more than 20 minutes... it still sucked.

Does that help?

honestly, you could draw a valid conclusion just by reading about it. I respect that you actually took the next step and logged in for any period of time just to make double sure.

First impression is actually pretty important to many new players, the crappy UI (you're stupid if you don't think so) and 9 out of 10 people will have to spend time remapping their keys (I'm sure Badgers & Obraik had to as well), and the manual target system and pigenholed professions feels awkward for people that has played SWG since 2003 and even closed/open beta. Most of us aren't afraid of change, I actually liked the combat upgrade changes once they fixed a few things (by Octobor 2005) but throwing SWG 3.0 6 months later was a slap in the face especially when it was bare bones with the game 90% being non functional.

List of SOE lies
What do Treyarch, EA and SOE all have in common? A habit of ignoring customer feedback and suggestions and their inability to properly beta test their products, resulting in crappy products.

IMO that's all the time that's really needed, when the free CTS was open, I spent a week in it, I couldn't bear it any more than 20 minutes at a time myself, I even went to do instances with the guild and it wasn't that great.

BTW your sig reminds me of that quote from Tommy Boy; "if you like, I could take a crap in a box and put a guarantee label on it and people would buy it.". If this game didn't have the "Star Wars" IP, it wouldn't be alive today after the NGE.

You can change the screen resolution before you log into the game in the Launchpad under Options, the same setting is available in Station Launcher too.

Let me know if you can't find it and I'll look up more exact steps to find these options.

I agree with the OP. The game is poorly managed and hasnt been upgraded like it should have. I will say one thing, the housing system is the best I have seen.

One of the things that never made sense is you can run straight up the side of a cliff but cannot exit out the sides or back of a shuttleport. That makes me Lawl

First you should have done alittle research and then you would know the game is dieing and was released in 2003. The game had alot of bright spots, including the THE BEST crafting and economy of any game to date. They also killed the game by basically revamping everything. I had more fun and was into it more than any other game. I was a very light Star Wars fan before I played and after a month into it I was a Star Wars die hard fan.  20 minutes of any mmo or rpg shouldn't be enough to make a solid conclusion of a game.

Well to be honest a development team can only do what you allow them to do or give them resources to do.

There are actually people who still play and enjoy the game and I don't want to insult any of them.  I'm just going along the lines of if you take the average MMO player who didn't start with UO or EQ1 or any of the first wave of MMO's.

Then you dropped them into SWG in its current form.. no I don't think it would take more than 20 minutes or even 20 minutes to lose them.  OH and by the way... that doesn't mean a "wow player".  It could even mean someone who started in... DAoC.

I actually only ever came to this site due to the NGE quite honestly.  I'm glad for the people who still play SWG and enjoy it (that they have a game they enjoy).  My response previously was obviously not coming across that way.  I just think one could relate to the reality of SWG for people who don't have friends that stayed or just want to be in a Star Wars universe that much.  Even if this was an entirely new product... its still not really in a release state and its certainly not what a game set in its time period in the Star Wars universe should be.

(that's why they should have picked a different time frame or done what UO did and basicly said it was in an alternate "world" version... which is why UO didn't have to follow what the single player Ultima rpg's had done).

Being able to choose the skills you want to use, offers much less variety than pre-made class based systems.
