This is going to be an amazing mmo. Bioware rocks 10 times over and then some! :) Can't wait to find out whatelse they have in store for us.

I have always been a big fan of Bioware, but man, they are kicking it up 10 notches with every new bit of information.  Makes you wonder why it has taken so long for the genre to finally start moving forward and in a different direction.  If they can really fulfill their promise, I can't see myself ever playing old or old school MMOs ever again.

Yeah saw it earlier ... almost wet myself when I saw the jetpack :-)

I watched all three videos.I would not call it a documentary,because it was more like pre planned speeches,basically they were talking the talk,hyping the usual marketing areas like "every decision you make will determine the world or your path".

I think we should wait and see if they can deliver on the content,rather than listen to talk,anyone can talk,the videos did not show me much as the fighting in the few scenes i watched ,looked kind of average.The detail in the world did look decent enough,it seems on the whole they will create a decent enough world to explore,i am not sure how linear it will be,that will be a big factor to most gamers,nobody likes a linear console game anymore.This is what scares me because they state every action and decision will determine your game,that tells me it may be very linear.Certain quests and areas may only unfold if you make the right decisions,i think the majoprity would rather have the entire game open up to them.

I think the lightswords could use a little more poly,they look quite cheap.I know this is not a Lucasarts thing as it pertains to all games,but i wish we could see more animations that ACTUALLY depict the enemy taking damage.When i watched the combat in the few scenes they showed us ,i could not help but feel cheap and like playing TR again.

To me it looks like you will get a decent looking game,a large world,apparently lots of classes and characters to choose from,how much diversity each class has beyond the initial selection is a mystery.I am not sold as of yet on this game delivering enough content to indulge me,i guess for the majority that are sold before it even comes out,you must be die hard Star Wars fans.

I hate to be part of the trend, but what can I say? I like jedi. Justice, morality, lightsabers. Perfect combination.

For some reason, I wasn't excited about this game before. Storytelling isn't my bag for MMOs, and I was really down about it. But for some...strange reason, without much detail about the gameplay, I'm incredibly excited after watching this video.

Well it certainly looks great. Buuut I remember a certain recently released MMO that looked great, sounded great, promised everything and delivered nothing.

So while I am excited about this upcoming release, I just won't believe it until I see it. The current trend in MMO developing is showing off all the features they want to have in the game, and then on release day, after you finally install/download/wait in the que for an hour then finally get in...and it's nothing...you have a red food colored flacid breadstick for a light saber and a wire diagram face. So on that note, we shall see. I hopefor the best, but I definitly expect the worst.

On another topic. You Jedi better watch out. Umm hey tard, you realize that Jedi are everywhere in this particular point in SW lore? They are most definitly NOT outlaws, and therefore probably the least lucrative mark for a Hunter to be going after. So GG they have stated it in several articles and it was even in the OP's video, and you still do not get it; JEDI ARE EVERY FREAKING WHERE!

Like it or lump it, thats what this game is advertising. So while I admit that if the dude in the jet pack was in fact a BH (not all mandolorians are bh and not all BH are Mandolorians) that would be a pretty cool.

Bottom line is all us SWG vets need to go ahead and realize this aint that, this is a whole new monkey, and I hope it deliver's.

The only thing Jedi need to look out for is the enemy.

I have to agree about being cautious about the game at this point. Bioware has an excellent rep, but we should all remember previous games that had 'big-name' developers with reps that died horribly.

I'm excited to follow the game at this point but it's way too early to pass judgements on it.

You have heard that there PvP planned for the game and we can play as Sith, right? I think the poster above was telling Jedi to 'look out' because he expects to roll on the Empire side and thus be guaranteed to be going after Jedi with flame throwers.
 
I know that's what I plan on doing :)

(But I'll probably have a Jedi alt too just for fun)

Caution is good in this mad world of mmorpg but if any dev company can pull of another blizzard then it's bioware. Blizzard were new to the mmorpg world but they still pulled it off. Bioware will be fully aware of the latest so called "next big thing" and if you really look at the teram and how they are approaching the game ,it seems they are not really hyping it up to much.

There is no Paul Barnett giving it the biggy or anyone else for that matter.Yes we are still quite far from release but even then i don't think we will see the levels of hype that WAR had.I have a feeling about this mmorpg and i have been playing since late 90s,i just think that the next big mmorpg will not be your elves and orcs type mmorpg but a space laser type mmorpg and swtor fits the bill nicely.

Bioware games ROCK and between this mmorpg and dragon age ,i am looking forward to some top Bioware gaming.

Ps if anyone has any sence they will be working hard from now to makle sure their PC can handle this baby,do whatever you must to upgrade your PC- graphic card/ram.

While I did like what they were saying in video.  While even as much as I love what Bioware has done in the past.  I'm definitely agreeing what with Wizardry said.  Heard all too many times now.  "Oh we are going to do this and that.  It will be great."  I was a bit worried though as I thought Jedi would be only class in game for a while. (Though I will be going Sith, drop dead you peace loving Jedi!)  Bioware needs to get in touch with the people that did the KOTOR2 Ultimate Lightsaber Mod though.  Get them to design some good lightsaber hilts for you.
