You got something against twins, hunchbacks, lesbians, and/or hermaphrodites? Not to mention a whole Iowan City? |

I'd already fallen asleep waiting on Acclaim actually doing something with this game within their licensed regions; especially after already having installed their client, created an account and then getting frustrated for over a week and a half of seeing it sit at "Pending," with no response from their *cough* Support *cough*. Then, when they finally did respond, it turned out that there wasn't actually any point in having an account because it wasn't even available to play, yet. Yeah. That was fun to find out. Can't say I'm overly surprised by Acclaim's ineptness, though; they've repeatedly proven that they're pretty damn good at dropping the ball. Enthusiasm for TCoS? Long gone. |

I was ASTONISHED to see the hype level at 8.3?IMO i have nothing against this game, but my gut tells me it will not succeed at all.I pay pretty good attention to what goes on in the gaming world and i would have to say the hype meter at 8.3 is quite false,i have not gathered that much hype out of this game at all,IMO it is closer to 5,or less,i have heard VERY little rumblings about this game lately. Every single game Acclaim has released has been VERY cheap,as they seem to be geared towards the cheap F2P type asian games. This game seems like a bold step up for them, however i feel it will not deliver,i tried the original beta and although it seemed ok,it did not seem to move beyond any other F2P i can find. I would say if this game was F2P it may carry a minimal audience,my guess? around 100k maximum subs. http://www.youtube.com/user/Napolianboo#p/u/15/rCYLLQCNc1w |

The pen is mightier than the sword if the sword is very short, and the pen is very sharp. |

I am not going to hold my breath for this game. Acclaim has not been a very good company up to this point, not sure why the Spellborn devs picked them unless they had no better offers. I would not expect alot of support if you want to play this game. Acclaim does not spend much money on support staff. Oh and I agree wth Wizardry, I doubt there is much hype for this game and Acclaim will do an excellent job of dissuading those that think there is. |

I took his post as a hint that something was going to happen on Twitter regarding TCoS. About an hour later I finally made a Twitter account and the first post I read (which was less than a minute old) was the first 100 people to email David Perry would get a CB account. I will probably never use Twitter again but it got me into TCoS CB the moment it started. |

So was I, which I know that even with all the testing and feedback it didn't really matter how much time they had to work on it, nothing really changed. Some serious fixes yes, but none of the good suggestions were taken to heart as far as I remember.... Another closed beta isn't going to do anything, seems like a glorified stress test... As for the hype, it was huge 2 years ago, but things went very slowly and well you can see it where it is now, while the game is very different in many areas it is lackluster. Reminds me of WAR honestly but with an indy touch. If that makes any sense, so while some people will find features of this game amazing, many will be like meh. That's my prediction anyway. Played the Euro version uninspired non immersive and boring which is a shame because it had so much potential. Thankfully Warrior Epic starts its open beta next week ....now there is a MMO that kicks ass, played teh Closed beta and can not wait for it to come back. |

Found the game very immersive too, music is nice. But the game is imo unfinished and has little content. You can play TCOS 1 maybe 2 months, no more. (If you can find other people online because EU servers are empty) I don't like at all char's design, worst i saw in a mmorpg. This game has serious potential (PVP areas, Houses versus Houses, storyline, interesting quests sometimes, nice AI) but is unfinished for the moment. (bugged quests, no HL content , no serious PVP etc) |
