I'm sure there's probably a thread like this already, but I can't come up with anything using the search function. I reinstalled the game today with the intention of trying it again. I recall having some vista related installation issues the first time, but remembered how to install this time around. Unfortunately, trying to open the PlayOnline Viewer, I'm currently recieving an error message saying that it can't run on this operating system. I've tried running it as an administrator and in compatibility mode, but the error message persists. help? dammit. I managed to find my old post with the same problem, which I apparently entirely forgot about. help is unnecessary, thanks anyway, and sorry for the repeat post. |

If you have an older version of the game then you will need to download the Vista POL client off the playonline website. Then you will need to install each of the expansion discs individualy. If you have an older version of the Collection (the one with Zilart and base works i know) you might have a problem installing the expansions. I have a Collection up to treasures and it will not allow me to install and run on vista, but my orignal collection with Zilart and Base only actaully works if I download the POL client of playonline first. I have heard that the newest Collection (the one with Wings) does not have this problem, but I cannot confirm. If you do need to buy the newest expansion it might be worth looking into picking up a new Collection for a quicker install. |

The latest collections should install fine on vista if they're anything the trial discs you can buy for like $3, which are fully vista compatible and have up to Treasures of Aht Urghan if I remember.
