He probably came from WoW with his hyped up buddies about the "Crazy pvp", completely forgetting that it's full loot and he got ganked a couple times outside the starter area.

Exactly my point, his whole "counter argument" to me biting into his previous MMO experience is that the ONLY one he listed was UO. I'm sorry, but you need to hang around the MMO-pool just a teeny-bit longer before you make outrageous and un-educated statements about a game.

There are over 20 Free-2-Play korean grinders that are SEVERAL times worse than any main-steam released MMO's that got bad wraps. The worst one so far has been Dark&Light, that ironically, within the past 8 months, tanked it's servers completely.

YOU are the one whom already discounted your "opinions" as false ramblings of a little child in OTHER people's minds. EQ2, EQ, UO, WAR(beta), GW, POTBS, Lineage, Lineage 2, FFXI, MXO, DDO, DAOC, Auto Assault, Hellgate:London (alpha,beta,launch), Planetside, SWG(launch up until NGE killed the game), Dark & Light(ew), AOC, EVE,Asheron's Call 2, and some other eroneous Alphas and Betas that never made it to launch =).

I used to be a hardcore FPS guy, while i juggled MMOs, until FPS's turned to utter crap on PC and were forced to run & hide on even more shit-infested consoles. Ahh, those were the days :(

This is the mmorpg ( DF subforum) forums, and not forumfall.  If the fanbois can't handle some criticism don't post at all.  Its kind of funny to see all of them attack the OP instead of arguing what is so great about DF.   I don't think I have seen a single shred of evidence that there is something good about this game.   O wait............ the world art is great............. but that is about it.

How is this thread even close to being criticism. its just saying the game sucks. Criticism comes with descriptions.

Why don't you learn to develop your own opinions about things rather than rely on other people's opinions? Or, are you that poor that you can't afford to shell out $50 to try it out? I don't need to tell you why Darkfall is great because I don't care if you play it or not. This is not a popularity contest to win your favor. However, if you know what it means to "man up" maybe you'll give it a try and formulate your own opinions. Now, wouldn't that be a change for the better in your otherwise pathetic life?

By your definition of criticism, all of the people in this thread are simply offering a little criticism to the OP.

I've been following games like this for ages, only I half to agree with the OP in the respects that it isn't for everyone.  I myself can't stand getting ganked/bad graphics/bad spell effects/bad animations.  From what I seen in the darkfall videos it seemed very dull, might be fun for full loot and the adrenaline rush of being on 1 hp and being saved by some crazy archer perched in a tree lol.  However, from what I could see it seemed too dull for me (I say dull as in it doesn't fit my requirements.) For me Aion will be what I look forward to and I'll look forward to people bashing the hell out of it, as that's what people are good for.  Darkfall IMO fails to me, however it rocks to those who love PvP non stop.  However, that doesn't mean making threads saying 'This is the best game EVUR!" or "This game is the worse game of all time!" it's all opinion.  Those of you who have to make a thread to feel competent, well sorry but, honestly you're tards.  Credibility?  Oh fuck credibility, after the last election IMO that shouldn't be a factor.

Credibility, playing MMO's for basically your entire life, and you have a say.  Well I've done pretty much just that lol, I'd say th game is bad, does that mean I'm right? HELL NO! That just means I'm not into this type of game, just like I'd say WoW fails.  Yeah, I said it!  Good games to me ?  Diablo series, City of Heroes/Villains (loved the PvE), Dark Ages of Camelot (What wasn't there to love about it?).  Those games for me held flavor, and I hope that Aion holds the same substance as those games and delivers.  So, now can we drop all this hate/love.  Instead lets discuss why we don't like the games and why we like them, kill fanboyism altogether.  Otherwise your doing nothing but posting an opinion and that's it, and to most that is really damn pointless.  There should be a law in tact that says only reviews should be accepted under a forum post haha.  That way there aren't threads like zomg this game kicks IRL's ass(in real life) or this game makes me kill kittens and bunnies!  Instead what you get is a LIST of reasons as to why a game is bad or good in the form of a review.  Please, gods of the forum, please, I beg of you to consider the law ! Welcome to the Darkfall Forums on mmorpg.com, where the only way fans can handle any negative opinion of the game is by falling all over themselves trying to dismiss it by bashing the poster at 100 cliche's per minute.

You got the most common ones right out of the gate... You're a "WoW playing" "carebear" who "hasn't played the game"... and "an idiot"... And all on the first page! Pretty good!
