Aventurine sucked bad before the release. What makes people think they will get immediatley better after release ? They cannot even update their frickin website and replaced all the missing features lies with a more truthful version.

A potential customer is just as good as a paying customer. Also id like to note wiseguy, everyone that is just as upset as myself that hasn't purchased anything from them...well thats not our fault now is it. The bottom line is they have shown almost no regaurd for their fan base and potential customers. So screw them. Im not rich but im not hurting for money either, I would have paid double if not triple to get a copy of the game just because it really does look like an awesome game. Also note I don't doubt the game is fantastic, however with the way I feel ive been treated they wont see my money. I know I am not the only one that feels that way either.

Well from what ive been told, DF will not have any new servers for another 2-3 weeks at best since they need revenue from Subs to pay for the new equipment! So basically this is all BS to stall and divert the backlash. Why not just be honest and say, we are a new company and completely broke, we were lucky to release the game at all...id actually back them on that and support them. Why not make the sales avaliable on a prime time when most people would have a fair shot at getting a copy? Also why continue to sell copies and cause huge queue times when you could have just been honest and people would have waited. People do not like being lied to...go ask Fun Con.

because they wanna keep up the act that theyr letting in 1k people per day and  that everything is going just fine so the hardcore fanboys wont start to cry theyr giving it there all to convince them selfs this game isint going to fail or the fanbots will start to be depressed and say i wont play any mmorpgs!!11 im gooing home! wah wha lol

To be fair, they are located in Greece and thus fall under a different time zone. That's why for those of us located in the US, the purchase time falls under working hours.

Also, this release is technically a European release as they are planning to add US-based servers later. Although they are allowing people from other countries purchase the game.

On the other hand, everything about this release, if you can even call it that, has been botched up. I mean every possible thing that could've gone wrong, did.

I think its a sad day in the real world when us as consumers feel that we are entilted to a service and/or any company owes us anything without us ever paying a dime. As crappy as the ordering process is, Adventurine has no obligation to create a service that fits your specific needs. This may lose money for them, but that is their problem, not yours. We as consumers have no right to decide whether or not this is acceptable as the service they are providing is a luxury, not a necessity.

A company advertises their product to attract interest from potential customers so those potential customers will purchase said product.  If the company fails to deliver in any way shape or form they can and should expect negative feedback and some will be more vocal then others depending on how much the person feels they were mislead.

Trying to make it the gamers fault for expecting a company to deliver on their promise is why we see such crappy games being released.  Stop trying to deflect blame.  Instead of holding develpers accountable for the crap MMOs they produce by not catering to (buying) their product, some gamers will just swallow anything then ask for more.  The sad part is as they get the crap MMOs they ask for by enabling shoddy work the rest of us get it as well.

It's just horrific customer service, and popular demand. For the approx. 10k subs and online retail, they've could have easily brought up another server. Not to mention tha lack in, public expectation. They've seriously under esemated the demand on thier product (did they just think thier friend would play, and have they not read any forum hype, EVER).

On a side note, I really don't think Aventurine's treatment of its customers has been all that bad.  They've lied about a lot of features, granted, but they fessed up to them later, before release.  Everyone who bought the game knew, or had the resources made available to them so that they could know, what they were buying.  I prefer to give them the benefit of the doubt as they are a small independent company with a game that has such mass appeal that they can't handle the demand.  Their systems haven't been working properly but they've been working as hard as they can to get them operating smoothly.  No one wants the game to succeed more than they do, obviously.  They've just gotten off to a rough start.  I understand you're pissed that you can't get the game this weekend.  My vacation starts saturday.  I was hoping to have a copy by then so I could waste a good chunk of my time on the game.  Unfortunately, they're not selling copies and that seems like the right move considering how much talk of queue times there's been.  To be honest, you're better off waiting until the game is readily available 24/7 for purchase before buying it, anyway.  Then not only will you avoid all the stress of the buying mini-game but chances are it will have a lot of bugs fixed and be a better game overall.

What I'm trying to say, basically, is settle down and relax; you'll get your chance to play if you wait for it.  Oh, and go back to WoW. :P

I really do feel sorry for the OP. He's made the majority of his posts waiting patiently for Darkfall to sell him a copy, and saying how eagerly he's been looking forward to it.

Oh wait... his entire post history is practically all "Dude, where's my copy?" "Dude, where's my copy?" "Dude, where's my copy?" "Dude, where's my copy?", with little hint of how much he's looking forward to playing it. Reminds me of that little kid in the Bugs Bunny cartoon with the hammer, slamming that rabbit on the head yelling "I wanna Easta Egg! I wanna Easta Egg! I wanna Easta Egg!"

Well, he's been waiting for Darkfall anyways. Not patiently, but waiting. Guess it's obvious he didn't believe Tasos when they posted there would be a "limited release" and first come, first served.

The sad thing is this will most likely happen because of the fanbase they've decided to cater to but what the hell, I'm not necessarily going to miss them but its a shame because this game reeked of potential to the point where people were questioning its existence and said people were shown up as idiots like they should.

Now thats what my dumb a$$ was trying to say basically. Thank you. I want to point out too, how freaking stupid is DF to open their MMO with 1 server?!? The game has been in development like 8 years...are you kidding me? One server?!? Did they not realize how many customers they would have? Did they not do a pre sale? No excuse to not have a dozen servers at least to start. I hope it comes back to bite your pathetic company on the a$$.

And the most funny thing, is after spending a week pressing F5 every night, you try to log in and realize that you have to wait 40 minutes on the queue every time, only to be disconnected 10 minutes after finally logging in and have to queue again. Next morning you also realize that you have been charged 5 times.

Are you from NA?  If you've settled down by the time the NA server comes out, maybe you could try it then.  

I really want Aventurine to come through on their promise of letting players TRY the game before they buy it... I understand that in their current 'dilemma', they really don't have the option, but once they are back on their feet, they seriously need to implement a try before you buy.

That way, when the NA servers come out, you can painlessly try it for a week or so and decide whether or not the game overrules your experiences w/ Aventurine thus far.

Add unprofessional GMs and rampant hacks to the list of FAIL. Worse than a private server. But at least a private server is f2p.
