I guess I'm just not a die hard follower so I don't know how exactly they are doing their release. I realize that at a certain set time they open the store until the available copies sell out. But how long are they going to do this for? Three months until they can get their shit together? Also what exactly is the time when the store opens? I read 11 A.M. PST somewhere but I didn't see any change on the site. Sorry if this is a noob topic, but I think I have a noob ticket left. |

Think I read somewhere that this week they would dramtically increase the number of new players they let in above the 10, 25, 100, or 1000 (depending where you sit on the fanboi/troll bar) during each day of last week. "Just because you aren't paying doesn't mean it's not PTW." - Amaranthar |

will probably depend on how well the P2P closed Beta goes. A release date for Darkfall has not been set yet. |

Shop opens 2pm EST. I'm hoping that when Tasos said they would be increasing accounts that he meant over four digits as they are currently allowing. I would hate if the increase goes from 1k copies to 3k copies a day. The shop sold out in 17 min. on fri. It's been selling faster every day. They should have been selling back orders. |

Back orders would never work though.Server gets hammered; queues etc. People would complain when they didn't respond due to being on holiday. If they carry on as they are then they will be selling - what - 10k-20k a week. That is if they only sell 2-4k (Taos said thousands so at least 2k). If the demand continues - and the game isn't been flamed by people who are playing - then that will give a very healthy population very quickly. I am dure they would like to know what percentage go for month 2. How to sell the game? As a short term measure I would put batches of 1,000 accounts up on EBay. People buy an account but AV only bill them when they are ready to 'accept' the batch. Until that happens people who have purchased can cancel (and AV would not invoke complaints procedure etc.) That way people would know what there place in the queue was and they wouldn't have to keep trying to buy each day.
