Hi,

I'm looking for a new mmorpg to play while i'm waiting for Aion to come out.  I've played a lot of games before, the ones i really liked are Trickster, rose online, perfect world.
So, i'm looking for a 2d/3d game that's like (one of )  the games i mentioned.
It has to be free to play, as i'm not willing to pay for it until i really like the game.
I liked the PW and RO graphics, so i wonder if there's a game that has goodlooking graphics like that too.  ^- ^
 edit : i dont really care if it's PVE or PVP.

Another game that you could possibly that is F2P and is really exciting is Cabal Online.

It's a PvP based game, just to let you know, and requires some skill, believe it or not.

 Cabal is horrible, so are all the other games listed though. If it HAS to be free to play, I guess I'd go with Runes of Magic. It actually held my attention for 5 minutes.

If you can pay for it: Warhammer Online or Age of Coanan. Been playing WAR since closed beta and just downloaded age of conan off steam yesterday. Both are great games but long-term I'd have to say WAR.

Warhammer online is great, bought the game just a week ago (couldnt wait for the trial to come out) i really love this game.

you should try the trial.

 I play perfect world, Cabal online, Bounty bay online, Makes a good combo for me. :)

perfect world is awesome except  the expensive items in the mall

I enjoy Perfect World too especially the screen and the system of pets. I am playing Browser game now.Paying little time but earn much joy. Maybe come and have a try the Galaxy Online .

WAR is hit or miss hopefully you can get a good server with good guild. My guild and server is dead so i started working on my alt in Ironfist seen some decent action but the game even in server with decent population feels kinda dead. Not much talking, no one does PQs, atleast last couple days there has been some good RvR in Tier 3s but if you want Pve stay away from it :p...

I would go for "Runes of magic", the best F2P game around if you really want a free game.

Guildwars is also worth a look, while it do cost some money to buy (not much and you can probably find it in a sale bin) it is the best game without monthly fees, it is actually better than many games with monthly fees. It is however closer to Diablo than most MMOs, but with a good story.

Most F2P games are shallow and boring in my opinion.

I downloaded ROM to try it, but i didn't like it that much.
I might try some of the other suggested games, otherwise i'll just wait for aion to come out.

 

I just moved from WoW to Darkfall. And i have in one week got more adrenaline, sweat, rage, friendship and immersion then i got from three years of playing WoW.

So if you want to try something different and out of control i suggest you try Darkfall. There are no heroes there : )

no Darkfall is not F2P.
