Movie should garner another generation of fans.

The editing made things very confusing and hard to get a feel for whats going on, but I'm excited to see this movie! Cant wait for it and the MMO.

Funny you should say that, I really distanced myself from Star anything because it looked so nerdy and sucktacular... but that trailer looked pretty good. 

I went to the movies yesterday to see Quantum Of Solace saw the new Star Trek trailer, I've never watched a star trek film but this trailer caught my attention and the effects are amazing.

It's great. I like Star Trek very much. More info pls.

It blew me away. I had ignored the trailer links posted everywhere because I wanted to see it in the theater for the first time. I knew it was going to show before Quantum but when it first came on I had no idea it was Star Trek(which was the point I suppose). I could see the very tall Sci-Fi like buildings in the far distance but I was still quite bored with the car chase and such. I didn't realize it was Trek until he said his name.

I have seen all the Trek movies, and every episode of every series except TOS(I plan to eventually) and I have no problem at all with the direction of this movie. I just want Star Trek on TV again. Plus, this is the first time Star Trek truely seems "real". All the shows and movies including Enterprise have all seemed very fictional despite the fact the show is supposed to be all about science over magic. I'm just very psyched. Oh, and Bond was ok too.

Ok, i had no were to go regarding this. I hate Star Trek (Star Wars rules), but that trailer made me wanna go and see a Star Trek movie for the first time in my life.  It semed to have some balls : )

I have to watch it again. And this movie cant be that bad for the MMO either. All Star Trek fans will be in for a wild ride.

WoW im an old man and i got goose bumps this is gonna be a great movie.

New trailer looks great, hope the game lives up to the history of the name.

 -As a long time fan I am seriously dissapointed at the direction this movie has taken.  I really don't much like prequels especially the ones that take great liberty with (and occasionally destroy) the existing lore ....   (see Transformers)

-I really was hoping to see the start of the NEXT Star Trek series of TV shows and movies with a new crew and a new ship for the next series maybe 200 years after the latest series(or even an intro bridge over from the old to the new). I wanted to see a new Star Trek for the next generation instead its a twisted rehash of a prequel to the original series ...  It may be a great movie in its own right but it will still be a disappointment to me. I will watch it.  If it's a great movie....Wonderful. But that won't change my dissapointment.

At first I was a little skeptical with changes they are making.  But I think updating it for a new generation and making it a little edgier might be a good thing.  It would be great if this show was a hit and we could maybe get another tv series.

And bring back Enterprise too.  That show was getting better and better.

I think it is good to see a young crew again.

I like the direction. The CGI looks to be some of the best yet.

How come star trek never put a middle eastern or a indian guy, i mean you got a asian, scottish, black, and even a elf.  But thats ok star wars got admiral akbar.

Although i always like the next generation more but this looks cool and its only 10 dollars anyway.

great news, either way they spin it, past, present or future, it's still another star trek for us fans, so enjoy, there's more to come....and don't emberess us with why they didn't do this, u can always complain about something, instead just enjoy what u get and b happy star trek is not dead.

1 thing to always remember is even really bad movies often have great trailers. Just won't know till the movie itself is out. I'm crazy in love with the music off trailer 3, I believe it's called "Freedom fighters" off a cd called "Legend" by "Two steps from Hell" (but I'm not sure, and haven't been able to find a copy anywhere). If anyone can confirm?

It is indeed a remix of Freedom Fighters, but one of the composers from Two Steps From Hell., Thomas J Bergesen: nemesis2.wordpress.com/

I got all there stuff up to date, the remix version we hear will be released somepoint in the future.

  I tend to agree it is nice to see new faces. Imo it would have been better to not see them playing old characters. I was looking forward to a New Star Trek myself something that would propel the Franchise forward with all new enemies and challenges not the same old rehash with new faces.

 Maybe next time Star Trek will move forward. I also have been waiting on Star Wars to move forward with films as well. I would love to see princess Leigh (SP?) learn how to use the force and Luke at Jedi Master level just as or even more powerful than Yoda.

Common thse guys need to get their movies in gear going FORWARD!!
