I don't think it is dying.  I still see a lot of people and SoE is good at adding content yearly to their games that keep them interesting and fresh.

No, its not dying. Why would you even ask that? There's no reason and no indication to it anywhere.

the game is more active then its been in a long time just cause you sea few 20 people bitching about game shops witch they dont even have a clue about them selfs whine doesent mean the game is dieing whatsoever hell even those 20 people say omg whats the point in playing??!?!?! people walk around with super gear now cause of ga me shops is one of the reasons you shouldint listen to them since all you can buy in game shops are xp potions you get free anyways after a week or so then the rest are just fun stuff that doesent effect stats at all

EQ2 is one of the best games I have played in awhile.. And Yes I am still new, I recently just subscribed... However, I played the full trial up to level 20 and had no problem with it. I see a lot of people and even without many people around your level their is the mentoring option which is great for finding groups for dungeons.... In my opinion I think this game is actually getting more noticed right now. Give it a go again you will not be dissappointed atleast I hope not, because I have played many other MMO's and i mean MANY from F2P to the Powerhouse WoW and EQ2 is definately my favorite as of right now.  - a7Fold

We are not you. We dont think like you or like the same things as you so we can not predict whether the game is worth playing for you or worth you spending the money on it so we can not answer that question for you. Only you can form your own opinion. Play the free trial and find out for yourself. Problem solved.

ps. Hopefully the large occurrence of the word "you" will get the point across

Well, this came from the guys who said people were leaving Everquest2 to play darkfall.

Pure and simple lie.

Everquest 2 has a lot of server activity these days, it is easier to find groups and tons of players in Everquest 2 than in newer games like War, AoC and Darkfall.

Nope, it's not. But you're obviously trolling.

I just rejoined from a one and a half year long break. I was pleasently surprised to see quite lot of new characters in the two noob zones I visited. They were all but empty.

I had a good first evening in game today, and I look forward to keep playing.

I just resubbed after 16 months out of the game.

The game population on the Splitpaw server seems very healthy.

To me this is by far the best MMORPG around. Its a shame that WOW gets all the attention because it is crap and kiddiesville in comparison to EQ2.

As others have said it still has a good sized population, lots of people left for AoC but most of them are back now. I started EQ 2 in early 2007 and although it is turnover I think the population is steadyThere is too much people on the AB server resulting in server lag even.

I COMPLETELY agree with you... it is a shame that WoW gets all of the attention.. this game is so much better. The game is more appealing to the mature crowd, by mature I don't mean the game is inappropriate, I mean to more adults. The servers are very healthy, I play on Blackburrow - a medium populated server. I never have a problem getting a group, sure you might have to wait a bit but what game do you not have to wait for a group. Nadia could agree with me, on Blackburrow people are ALWAYS spamming for raids in the 70-79 channel.

I am having a blast playing this game after a half year break, I reactivated in late January and if you are wanting a game that has tons to do... look no further. This game kills World of Warcraft in regards to content, lore, and pure fun that isn't dumbed down. I am not hating on wow... I have an active subscription. WoW is fun,but EverQuest 2 is better.

I agree

I would recommend either game to new players

but I personally prefer EQ2
