Puppet Guardian is a hybrid MMORPG and Board Game.  Original concept and artwork.  It is highly social and strongly encourages players to collaborate.  The game was created by Cold Breath a very successful indie developer in Japan and reflects their unique, maybe a little idiosyncratic, vision.  It was released as a Beta version this month.  The game is not probably not for serious WoW players (although plz give it a try and see!) but it is popular in Japan with a very loyal user community.  If you like it, you'll probably like it a lot.

This game was just wierd. From what I could gather you have to play some sorta boardgame with a dice to move. You could also gather some crap here and there. It's not a traditional mmo (if you can call it that) at all. This will only be played by people with extremely special tastes, take that as you will. It didn't strike any chord with me though.

I totally agree. I play everything on the net and have never seen anything so bizarre in my life. I support every game that is remotely interesting but I can't get behind this one. I played for about 20 minutes and had to quit it and uninstall every shred of it as it just wasn't entertaining..............at all.

You can't develop a true appreciation of the game from 20 minutes of play.  The great thing about Puppet guardian is how it encourages people to play together and team up.  Also the items you gather as you go make it fun too because of the better powers and looks you get.

I'm glad you guys are trying it cuz the game needs players and I think your comments are reasonable and I even understand them cuz when I first tried it I had a luke-warm reaction.

Now I think it's great.  And it gets better the more you play it.  The pay off for playing the game isn't cheap or easy, although the basics are very easy, but the payoff is a very good one because of the friendly and collaborative environment and the strength and uniqueness your character gets. 

I have read in Blogs and on the Forum that the developers also apparently are creating a number of games that allow you to use your same character in different game environments with different game play activities and objectives.  You sound like smart guys so give it a little more time, I think you'll like it and it has a future cuz of the new games coming down the pike.

Your right, it toke me 20 hours to find out this game is the biggest rip off ever. its made in a way u'll be spending more then a avarage p2p mmorpg. all i can say is dont start with it unless your a rich guy.

From the description, screenshot, and website front page I got the impression this would be a very stationary, Colorforms sort of thing somewhere between Travian and Estiah. Since no one mentioned it here I thought I'd point out that in fact it's animated with sound effects and some pretty nice music. Here's a video.

It also makes no sense at all and no one will talk to me.
