As I stated in the comments... I was truly disappointed in these commercials. If this were a commercial for a popular and established feature, it might be amusing, in the same way loudly breaking wind in quiet office is amusing to some people. But the whole idea of a commercial is to promote the new feature in a positive light, is it not? These commercials, while perhaps funny in an offbeat way, make light of a 'user' who is wanting 'easy' missions and 'free' rewards. This also makes it look like the sell point of I14 is free and easy loot and easy missions. I was very disappointed to see so little of the Architect even show up in the commercial, as it seemed more intent on making fun of an ego-tripping 'super' hero who wanted loot for no effort. Is this perhaps what NC Soft thinks of its player base? Sorry guys, I give both these a thumbs down. |

I honestly enjoyed them. I didn't look at them as commercials, but rather as just funny skits. They caught my attention and held it, and I hope they make more of these in the future. I might actually come back to CoH for a while after I14 comes out. I'm pretty bored with just about every other MMO at the moment. Anywho, I thought they were funny. |

I thought #2 was better than #1, but only because it actually had some kind of punch line. Sadly, the set up for it was boring and frankly annoying to the point that I had to sit here for a few minutes just now trying to remember what the joke had even been. The character may be Captain Dynamic, but the author of the skit must have been Captain Flaccid. I think the only reason I'm going to bother watching the third installment is that perverse fascination that comes from looking as you drive past a car wreck.  |
