StarVault have licensed the graphics engine from Epic, nothing else.

It's not out yet, it's not better than any released game. It looks cool, but I will not say it's better than any currently released game. If I could, then I also say that the next perfect MMORPG will be better than Darkfall :)

Mortal Online actually isn't made by Epic either, it's created by StarVault. They simply licensed the Unreal Engine III. StarVault is really far from rich, they don't even have one game out yet, only MO in development.

If this does got all of the teenage GoW fanbois simply because it runs Unreal Engine III then I'm out, I don't need to play with a ton of fratboy 'gamers' who think they know everything.

Far from vaporware.. this is supposed to be released summer 09. And their main website was taking beta applications. So.. say all you want.

And it seems to me there's an odd countdown timer right in the middle of the main page on  www.mortalonline.com

I wonder what that could be? ;)

Trailer would have been better if it actually showed the combat that it was talking about.

Isnt it developped by Star Vault or something?

And even if Epic was making it, doesn't mean they will make a good MMORPG just because there FPS is good.

Obviously people don't learn. Let's not speculate until the game is actually released. Ok? I am a huge Darkfall fan, but if MO does it better, you bet I'll be playing MO. But nobody knows what the game will be like so until we start hearing beta reports or the game is released, OP STFU.

This trailer has been out for months and all of a sudden you think it is new. Your first problem is coming in screaming saying Epic Games has a part of it. They don't all they did was license the engine to StarVault which is not a rich company but has much more funds then Aventurine. That being said Unreal 3 has a really history of providing sucky MMOs due to performance issues. If StarVault manages to come out with a nice Unreal 3 product then it'll be the first that launched successfully.

Graphic wise it will blow Darkfall out of the water but no one even knows except speculation and documents how it is going to play.

To come in here yelling about how Mortal Online is going to crush everything with a theoretical trailer is pure idiotic.

MO is NOT made by EPIC. The developers are using EPIC's engine. NOTHING MORE.

Even if EPIC were the actual developers, I would be very hesitant in playing because EPIC Is all about console development these days. So any MMO they would make would first be made for the more simple minded gamer's who play games on their crapbox 360s.

You can spot a real game expert when you see it.

Epic developes the Unreal Engine, which can be purchased by other developers to make other games.
And Star Vault did just that.
Epic is not actually developing the game.
Get a clue.

I was joking.I get the newsletter for mortal.I know all about mortal.Beside i don't give a dam if it was epic making the game.They have an zero exp making an mmo even worse unlike Bethsada and Bioware they don't have experiance making a rpg.But it is not epic games making mortal is star vault a swedish company.Calm down.

OP really has nothing better to do on a Saturday. This is proof. But, then again, neither do I as I am responding! Ah well, time to go play Darkfall. And, as I said to the OP who posted this on the MO forums, if MO can do it better than DF, I'll be playing MO. However, let's not speculate until we start hearing actual beta news reports and when the game is actually released.

Well atleast I won't say it's vaporware, kinda never have done such thing as in saying a game is vaporware, often happens by people who for some reason dislike game X who will often use terms like vaporware.

 Google'd it and seems it's  worldwide  known in Sweden only? and definitly not sure what the relation is between GoW and MO other then they are using the Unreal Engine 3 by Epic Games and since you seem very new to this genre try and google the Unreal Engine and look how many games are using it or are going to use it, to me thats definitly not a garanty of the game becoming great.

Only time I will be able to say that is when I am actualy ingame in a released version.
