When is CCP going to buff Caldari PvP a bit? It seems missles are useless in fleet and gate camp due to flight time and the shield tank of Caldari ships are inferior to the armor tanking of Amarr and other factions. Other than ECM is there any reason I should bother rolling a Caldari character for PvP?

I would agree with you if you said Caldari seem weak in 1v1 pvp situations but Caldari are freaking awesome in Fleets.

This topic has littered the Eve forums as well and tbh Even though I only fly caldari here and there I havent seen a disadvantage  in small gang  warfare.

If anything I feel the Blaster nerf has hurt Gallente alot more then the missile nerf has hurt Caldari.

I fly both gallente and Amarr fully and Caldari and Minmatar to BS and I see mroe of a problem for Gallente and Minmatar tbh.

I have to agree with Z3ro1, I Fly both amarr and Caldari heavily and there are plenty of ships that work great not just ECM.  Shield tanks IMO are generally far better than  Armor for gangs and fleets due to the shorter cycle time and the fact that you get the boost at the beginning not the end of the cycle, sure they take up your mids for things like webbers and Scrams but in fleets that is less of an issue, and they leave your lows open for damage mods.

Ships are fine. It is the caldari pilots that is an issue...

the rokh is a fantastic fleet sniper, the crow is a great interceptor, the falcon is laughably overpowered, the raven is the definitive ratting/mission ship and makes a great anti support battleship with an armour tank and 2 eccm, the scorpion is just plain win, nighthawk and vulture are both great ships, the cerberus is a good sniper hac, as is the eagle, the harpy is the best solo AF with only the wolf for competition.

caldari are fine, i fly caldari/minmatar and love the ships i fly.

there is a great thread in the eve-o forums commenting on this very thing -

it says there are many different levels to playing eve based on your choices they are :

Expert

Hard

Medium

Easy

Caldari

i thought it was funny.
