You do realise MO is being made by a swedish company about the size of Aventurine?

Epic games only sold them the Unreal3 engine and let them use the license logo by that.

To clarify further Epic sold them the rights to use the UT3 engine for commercial purposes.

Oh and their combat mechanics are very similar if you didn't read that already meaing simiplied Morrwind melee combat.

I'd say things have generally gone quiet becuase perhaps the rabid fans are either playing the game when it's up or posting on the Darkfall website when it's up, or some of those that where passoinate about the game STILL haven't gotten into it and really don't want to come back to these websites and tell us that.

Just wait until people actually start paying for this "thing".

Im talking two or three payments in after retail price and monthly fee. It's going to get ugly. mark my words

I agree with you. But in 3 months time there shuold be enough guilds and skilled up players to have the political meta game entern into the development phase which is probably one of the most exciting phases in a Sandbox MMO. Kinda like AoC right after the first guild lost its BK. Ahh good times.

I love how people make new accounts just to bash a game. Expereienced with AoC, WAR, and now DF. Ahh the power of the interwebs.

I do quite enjoy the MO  > DF discussions. Most of the people are delusional when it comes down to MO, the game itself (regardless of what their countdown timer says) is atleast 2 years away from being launched, the MO fanboi's pull all MO's "features" out of the website FAQ which will probably go the same way as Darkfalls FAQ, by which i mean out the window, as they realise what is actually possible to implement into their game.

The company itself is about the same size as Aventurine. Also managing PR can be done by a 16 year old sat at home on their computer with some kind of business studies A/S which they haven't finished yet.

My last point is that Darkfall will have 2 years of development time gone into it before MO launches.

Good PR != Quality Product.

 It 'aint over until the fat lady sings. This is AV.. I am sure they can genrate some more trauma in the next few weeks. Us trolls can get all infuriated and the fanbots can whip out there templete answers.

Seriously though, I hope we dont see another MMO release for a long time as insane as this one.

are they actually charging sub fees for the limited beta release?

I dunno precursor.. you can do an awful lot to the fanbots and they will just return there love and gratitude to AV.

Why judge? My last girlfriend put me through hell and I'm still coming back for more. Let people like what they like, even if it his nothing but a pile of ****. Judge the game, not the player.  On any given day, I rather be the fanboi who love a crappy game yet still having fun than the realistic but hateful troll that are bored out of their mind.

With all honesty, this game does look somewhat interesting.  I might even give it a shot if it AV ever able to get there act together and actually allow me to pay :).

Yeah, I visited the MO site (again) recently and only saw some vague talk about a very few game features, and a couple of 2D painted character shots. Nothing I couldn't whip up myself in a day or two.

(And about 1/50th of the design information Darkfall put forth. Not that it ended up meaning much anyway...)

I hope your not claiming that AV has good PR. If so you better stop smoking whatever you picked up. The sole reason Darkfall is being hated and bashed the most is more to how they show incompetence to handle situations. They still not adressed the people who preordered long ago and was billed yet cannot play.

The game may be decently good but the games downfall can be contribued more by its own company due to bad PR ethics. They prob need that 16 year old who has some kind of buisness studies because they all flunked in that department.

I went there and i saw it worse than the official wow fourms. Heck i did read about a few legit complaints and how they got bashed by the community for posting them. That is very sad.

Atleast here the Fanboys and trolls are much more mature.

lol when was the last time us americans made a good mmo? I don't trust 2 nations with mmo's: South Korea and America, they always find a way to f#ck things up (especially south korea). I guess, if DF truly does suck in 2 months, I'm going to add Greece to that list.

The forums are settlign down cuz there are less people arguing.. many people are enjoying teh game and arent spending there time on forums
