Two questions for those of you who did PvP in EQ2:

1. Is EQ2 PvP any good?

2. How much of a time investment will it take to get a max level character with gear good enough to compete in PvP in that range?

Anybody?

The PVP is not great. You have to remember that the game was initially designed as a pure PVE game, the PVP was tacked on afterwards. Some people find it fun, but the general consensus seems to be that the classes are not well balanced for PVP--Scout type classes will for the most part demolish anything else.  Although it is not difficult to reach max level (you can solo it for the most part), how much time it will take depends on the kind of class you pick. The PVE is great, the quests are fun and are definitely one of the game's nicest features.

So to recap: If you want a game where you can rush to the max level, deck yourself out, and go out ganking then EQ2 will probably not satisfy you.

Its not that great because ppl that are 1 or 2 lvls higher win, so there for there is no skill in fighting.

Another thing is crafting in the game ,,,  its good but guess what if ppl can get the same loot off a mob drop what is the point in wasting your time crafting?

Well game makers mess up all the time , if you can get everything on your own and dont need anyone then all there game is ,,,,is a single player game with ppl to talk to in it.

I dont like single player games never did ,, i dont play sony playstation because i dont like to play a computer . I like to compete in games with pvp  to try to be the richest and most powerful man  on that game.

But if they ever come out with a game where you cant max out skills ,, then this game will most likely be good.

Something with skills in everything you do ,, climbing , starting a fire to cook some food,, you know that kind of game where you live in it and not just hit mobs in the head for everything.

Game where money is so hard to make that you got to do a trade to make money. And the lazy ppl that just kill stuff will be poor and never have nothing good .

Game that has aiming in it ,,  so it takes skill on that to hit what you want. Game with weather that will kill you if you dont have the proper clothes on. Game that is so hard that you can only master 1 or 2 skills out of thousands.

With thousands of skills that cant be all master by one person is a sure thing when it comes to everyone being diff.

Money should never be made by npcs this is for a single player game. Games that have 50 servers is not a mmo to me, its no diff to me then a fps game that hold 64 players.

Hmm, define 'rush' though? I was talking about like 2-3months of work on a character.
