OP, thanks for sharing your epic battle experience. This sounds very exciting - I also look forward to trying to push the Murderherd from their city. If 8 guilds can't do it, then we have our work cut-out for us My question though is this - you mentioned that ranged attack (arrows and magic) was not being used very much and melee is preferred. Is this because ranged targeting is just too challenging? I can imagine that it would be with the victim running around like a wild animal. Perhaps there is a way to get the victim to stop running. |

I counted no more than about 20-25 in any one of those shots. Surely if there were 200+ people, there should be at least *one* shot showing a larger group? Or... was the 200 exaggerated for emphasis?

OP, thanks for posting this. It was exactly something I've been looking for!! I have a few questions, the landscapes look somewhat barren and sparse. Is this a graphical setting or can the foilage be cranked up high enough to see wavering strands of grass with all kinds of doodads like insects flying around? To the trolls, you all make your selves look like untintelligent idiots. The bashing attempts read worse then a 2 year old having a conniption fit. The claims are assinine and inherantly unrealistic without anything empirical other then poorely written opinions frequently based on a leaked preview of a beta stage of the game during low level play. What's happening is the ill attemps and incestant desperation to troll is giving more wieght to the greatness of this game's potenail due to the obvious idocicy being showcased since it becomes quite clear the majority of you don't know your heads from your asses.

While I'm sure this game will be fun for those who are blind to the fact that its just a lame clickfest with absolutely no strategy or human skill involved like EVE Online or are in huge clans that started up right at the beginning and instantly gained the advantage. There are some of us who just want a fun game to play and I'd rather not pay monthly for a game where I am forced to grind for gear or potions and just want to jump right in and have a chance at beating the enemy instead. I refuse to pay ever for a monthly fee MMO where In order to play some crappy mini-game I have to grind for hours on end and even when I finally get to the mini-game its a load of garbage. I also refuse to pay montly for an MMO for a game that I can just spend twenty pounds on and not only get better gameplay value but also have multiplayer and a working game. Why is it that MMO's always manage to screw up even the most basic of tasks or combat systems? No I don't believe the technology limitation garbage at all, in fact I think its a total lie because if a game from 1987 can have a better combat system then there is something developers are not telling us. I am currently playing Age of Chivalry designed by MODDERS and not only is it online and has a far better combat system than Darkfall it doesn't even cost anything, I mean honestly, if a bunch of F***ing modders can do better than not just Aventurine but the whole of the industry then something is seriously wrong here. Why should I have to fork over however much a month just to have a second job for a f***ing year when I should be getting a game to play? Quoting people doesn't make you clever, in fact, it makes you all the more stupid for not bothering to read the quotes you post in the first place. |

Why didnt you record or someone record the battle. its one of the many recorded big battles on eve online. and yes they are more than 200 people fighting in wars like these. Think taking down a titan is like a city siege. listen to the people talking you can tell how hyped they are in that battle. Infact watching this vid makes me want to go back to eve. Thats the impact movies have. next time have a guildie fraps a huge battle.If you want to hype more people into geting this game do so. It will prove your point. till then we can only go by what is provided with pics. Come on Fans , shut the trolls up with a nice movie. If in a radius of 20 meter can be 40-50 people then in a radius up to 100+ meter can hold 200 Battle participants.. Boring LOL here watch this one this is how you videos do swift justice to sandbox pvp. Keep in mind i would love to see some darkfall epic battle vids im just posting these to show what impact videos do have to brining more players. As you can see in this vid, ships keep comming, there is tons of tension and heart pumping moments. you can hear how organized and epic the battle is for the people who are in vent cordinading attacks.
