The game has beed rated 6.0 by the official forum review. Even if all this haters insist in speaking bad of this game, those of us who play the game know it got alot better since launch, new content, new zones, new raids and dungeons. So now I ask, isnt it time to ask for a re-review? |

My opinion it should have a re-review when 1.05 comes out and its hotfixes that usually follow a major patch. 1.05 patch looks to be really good.

I agree that this game should get a review when patch 1.05 lands on live. Especially because Funcom will start their trial marketing campaign and new players will want a review of the game more updated before jumping in. |

A re-review after 6 months? You gotta be kidding me. These games are constantly changing, I don't think MMORPG.com has time to do a re-rewiew every 6 months for every game on this site. Tried: LotR, CoH, AoC, WAR, Jumpgate Classic |

It's only fair to give the game a chance to get on it's feet right. I think the site is good in that it does do re-reviews when there is a demand for it. I bet there are more people for a re-review then not. I mean especially judging from the review thread itself, it seems the author missed on quite a few points or barely touched others at all. But it was his opinion at the end of the day, it would however, be nice to get a full look into. Whether that happens before patch 1.05 or not doesn't matter to me, I am sure it would score higher (not perfect by long stretch) but there is also a case for doing the game fair justice.

Honestly, I don't think it should happen after 1.05. I really really think they should have a re-review on every single game after One Year. Most games, after one year have either fleshed out most of their problems and added some new features, or fallen flat and show little progression.
While I agree that 1.05 is going to be awesomesauce, and AoC has certainly come a long long long long way since it's launch, I think re-reviews shouldn't be set for individual game's accomplishments, and more as a whole a "Time line" that all games should improve and proggess in. And I think 1 year is acceptable for any game. |

Hey guys, I just want to jump in here with a little bit about our policy. Generally speaking, we want to re-review a game every year. That being said, in some cases, we do it in 6 months if the game has showed some kind of significant change and if a qualified writer presents him / herself. Age of Conan, I believe, has gone through significant enough changes that we'll want to check back in with it (again, I might add) after 6 months from the last one. That means we're coming up on the time. As such, I've actually picked the game up again with the intention of writing, if not the review, then another look at the game via a gameplay diary. That's just to let you all know what's up in terms of AoC. *Edit: I'd also like to pop in to remind that we've actually done two reviews of AoC. The first, a level 1-20 review, was published shortly after launch. The full review wsn't published uintil October, a full five months after the game's release. Similarly, with Warhammer, we reviewed it early on (though policies had changed and we listed it as a preview not a review), and will be taking another look at it in the next week or two.
Cheers, |

Yes agreed. Patch 1.0.5 is just around the corner. It will fix this game's major remaining issue (itemization & crafting), add a new zone and by that time DX10 should also be out.
edit: thanks for the heads up Jon. |

Lol, definitely not. There hasn't been much change since the last review so why re-review it? It would only get the same rating. Maybe they could do a re-review after expansion and DX10 are in. I think 6/10 is a fair score for AoC. |

It may have been a fair score at the time, but its not so now... and I'd give it a bit more... or a 6/10 in a system where Vantard:Saga of Ripoffs doesn't get as high a score as it got...
After that review I've not taken any seriously since

I hated the game when it came out ... like some many others because of all the problems. I have resubbed since I had nothing better to play ... and I was VERY surprised (for the better). Its much better than at launch, so yes a re-review might be in order since it has changed alot |

Wow, I've been here a week with 44 posts and already I'm the biggest troll? Thanks. What did I win? Listen.. you might love AoC and give it 10/10 but don't get defensive when other people don't like it. Why do you think 90% of players quit the game? Because a couple of bugs? No, they quit because they DIDN'T LIKE THE GAME. Get over it. I really believe 6/10 is a fair score. That's the same score Eurogamer gave AoC a while back. |

Let me tell you, I almost joined lot of people over there, till they told me how boring the game was... { Mod Edit }

It could be fair score for AoC in its past state, if other socres will be fair too. If you compare other scores on this site with AoC score, than its ridiculous. Its even more ridiculous if you compare it with state of the game now. _____________________________ |

Good to know it will be re-evaluated by them, after all the changes, fixes and additions that have been done to the game, specially in the last few months that review can't possibly reflect what the game is right now. |
