I ve been checking these forums alot pre release Darkfall to see any info , most of the time it was just pure entertainment.

I have been playing DF for 2 weeks now and i can honestly say it is the greatest gaming experience i ever had. Best game by far....for me :p

That^^ was 7 years ago and that is only HALF the people in the fight, we didn't have widescreen monitors back then, but to the left is another 50-60 people...  plus siege equipment, etc.

Point is, large scale battles are nothing new..  but where is dynamic combat in Darkfall, anyone see people playing the role of wizards or clerics?

Right 7 years ago..too long true gameplay was banned from MMORPG's and Darkfall brings back the glory of true MMORPG ..shit companies have released crap single player games with no real PvP and crap instances...Aventurine brought back what was almost forgotten ..EPICNESS in a MMORPG .. awe AV ..

DarkFall brings back what MMORPG should be back into the genre like you said it was years ago you experienced what you describe ..thanks for proving ..

Murder Herd is a joke !!! I like how he described this as a large battle happening on a daily basis. This is the norm for this guild. They get ass-raped by other guilds in evey game they play. AOC was a complete Murder Herd rape party. Their MO is to gank newbs and camp spawn points and they bragged about it until other guilds started retaliating and perma-camping them until they logged out for the night or camped out to an unguilded alt so they could walk 10 feet. By  their 2nd week in AOC they were begging other guilds to be friendly with them so they could actually walk 10 feet without dying.  Anytime Murder Herd was seen it was an all out gank fest until they logged. They even went to the extent as to change their guild rules and charter,so they would appear more friendly and the endless ganks would stop,but it didnt work. Gotta give OP credit tho, i damn sure wouldnt put it out there in public i was part of thier guild so either he is stupid or actually was drunk while posting

This is the way you post your experiences in game. He didn't try to sell it or declare it to be "teh bestest evarrr!!!" or "It's teh nooblet suckage!!!!" . He just told his story and provided enough details to let people decide for themselves.

Where are the 200 people? Also, the draw distance in those shots are horrible, i am sure you will tell me that's on low or something.

The "trolls" do bring up legit complaints about DF and the practices of AV. The "fanbois" bring up the good points about the game. It is up to the unbiased person to look at both sides, pull the bullshit from the truth and form their own opinion. Both sides balance each other out and are equally needed to assist someone in making an informed decision if they want to buy this or any game. Trolls are needed to balance out the insanity of blind fanbois.

I keep seeing you post about bigger and bigger battles, but the pictures do not support what you are saying. Each picture you posted had at most 40 people in them.... That might be one side, but still only 1/5 of the combatants you claim were there on one screen.

I would think since you are desperately trying to prove that big battles are happening you would have the foresight to take SSs of the massive battles which you have not.

As Neither a lover or a hater before looking into DF I did just that. Looking at all the video's I could find, reading all the comments, positive and negative, and eventually making up my mind. I got as far as the purchasing page when the shop was closed. Fortunately for me I decided not to place an order as I realised I was simply looking to buy the game because I could rather then for any rational raeson.

From an unbiased position i have taken everything into account and have decided I would rather keep my money then risk wasting it. There are just too many negatives associated with this game to justify giving it a chance. So please, everyone take the time and asses all the information available before making a descision as has been suggested above.

Old Timer's Guild took part in this?  Those guys are some of the worst players and cheaters that I ever had the mistake to once be a member of.  If it's the OTG from LotRO that is.  Their female members like to perform "favors " for coin though, disgusting pigs that they are.  Imagine a 35 year old 240 pound cow named Leslie asking to cyber with you for a mere 5 gold.  /vomit
