So we're idiots because we can follow logical rules, and you're a genius because you can't read a tiny snip of the Terms of Service? You're the kind of person that makes a purchase online on some of those sites that now require you to receive a phone call from them. You read "your purchase will require a valid phone number" and say "Why do they want my phone number? I'm not giving it to them!" Then you bitch and moan when your order's canceled. Brilliant. Anyway, I can't really hold your anger against you. After some of your more recent posts, I figured out why you're as pissy as you are. Thanks for the laughs, and enjoy EQ2. I liked that game. You forgot to mention that RMT is not against the rules and encouraged in many EQ2 servers. I forgive you, but it does make your victory slightly less so. The contents of this post do not necessarily reflect the views of MMORPG.com and its management. |

Actually you're wrong, RMTs get banned and players get rewarded! I actually got 1 plat for reporting one that they managed to prove guilty and banned him. As for the guy you quoted, you've proven nothing by listing those games. My statement was based on POL's behaviour regarding how one would create an account with them, not how lousy they can create a game. Yeah, I agree, The Matrix sucked, Pirates of the Burning Sea is a cheap cop out of Pirates of the Caribean, Star Gate Online TCG? well yeah, seems SOE are getting despirate for ideas, I mean they turned SWG and Everquest into card games! >_> Either way this has nothing to do with account creating so you don't win, you fail. |

You are a very angry person. |

She is right using a proxy is not "illegal" but 9 times out of 10 people use proxies to hide something. In example, I use them at work to mask forum activity and so on. Proxies are for the paranoid.
There was no need to use a proxy to obtain a trial for a game. Unless to bypass certain measures which she did.
So Square/Enix caught it, and banned the accounts. She was within her rights to use a proxy yes... and SE was within their rights to ban the accounts for obtaining keys outside official channels. Case closed. Next time quit being paranoid and obtain a key the official way like everyone else. No reason to come here and bash FFXI for your proxy using habits. Oh well... Live and learn. |

Do you actually play EQ2 or did you randomly pick it out of any game you could think of to avoid saying WoW? Never seen the official Exchange servers in the game? Anyway, since it seems you know nothing about the game, here's something from their official site to help you next time you try. http://soe-ing.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/soe_ing.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=19603 You can pay real money to SOE to fund a virtual wallet, which lets you buy in-game items for EQ and EQ2. That's real money trade as far as any reasonable eye can see. They may be rewarding players for reporting third-party RMT, alright, but only because it costs them business.

Dude give up, you are in the wrong. You failed. It's over. You went against PlayOnline's code of conduct got banned from an illegal key and you deserve it. Next time do shit correctly and nothing bad will happen. *facepalm* The worst part of it all is you act like you did nothing wrong. Proxies are not hard to detect depending on the amount of "bounces", if you used some shitty software they caught you fast because it barely cloaks your IP and was traced back. Not rocket science.

To be honest.. Making a too big thing about nothing to be honest.
it's common that companies bans Proxy-users due to the easy answer. "You could be a bot/spammer/something we do not want in our game" They have all right in the world to ban anyone they seem suspicious. Which you did. And yes, using proxys is not illegal. Still doesn't prove the point that they did anything wrong. If you rant about the same thing you've done over the last four pages. You've lost your valid point =p
cheers.
And oh, for all others.. He is a guy, he has a boyfriend (if you don't mean Best friend that is, then you're just plain stupid) So i'd say.. Live with it =p The speed of the mole and the power of steel is my weapon |

LOL, have you ever heard about PAT aka nat overloading. With that you can have a network with some private ip adresses, all using the same public ip. How is this possible you ask? well the router assigns a port number to the public ip. Private Ipdresses. public IP Accesing www.mmorpg.com If EG computer1 would access www.mmorpg.com he could get the public ip with a random portnumber like This way SEVERAL of private ip addresses can share i public ip address, they all just get a seperate port number. ofcause this slows up the latency because the router has to assign port numbers and "unpack" the bitstream up to the 4th layer of the OSImodel (transport layer) to look up the port number, when a package takes a trip, but as long as it isent to many ips, it is not THAT really notaceble.. so what if we dont have a session that started from the inside, how will outside computers beable to access a computer on the private network? EG if you have a webserver on a computer, well here you use port forwarding in the router. You assign some ports to a ip eg if it is a webserver you assign port 80 (or 8080) to the private webserver, so when people from the outside type your ip in the browser the router will redirect the packet to the private webserver. (unless you type the ip with another portnumber than 80) ps. i dont want to get in to the whole DNS thing, why i havent mentioned it. ![]() Take the Magic: The Gathering 'What Color Are You?' well for major businesses and for demanding applications, yea. But for a normal gamer not really.. not with a quality router anyway ![]() Take the Magic: The Gathering 'What Color Are You?' Quiz. ![]() Long live pc gaming, Viva la Steam, and and down with the Usurpers, down with the consoles |

O.o you don't see why you got band ... and you even got 2 reasons for it, and you know that they're true. There are rules so that people, won't be able to use the game for there advantage, as an example: play the game for free with trials or spamming. Maybe you didn't want to do something illegal , but you could so there for you got banned. Take a brief man, and btw people say that SE have the best service and support system in the world for mmos, and they put most work in it, so don't dis it lol you won't get anywhere. Anyways have fun :D |

There isn't a clause about banning people for using proxies in the ToS, but I think there is a clause about SE reserving the right to ban your account for any reason they feel like. Remember that everything on SE's servers belongs to SE. You're more or less "renting" your account. |

To you banned guy, take a brief and get over it. In the IT world shit happens, people shouldn't get angry because of it. Well I got a good laugh of it, just so you know it, you make you self look dumb, sorry. |

Well, a lot of businesses have some sort of thing like that to fall back on. It's the same thing as when you see a sign in a store that says "We reserve the right to refuse service" or something. Typically they're not going to if you're not doing anything wrong since they want your money. They're probably a bit less lenient on free accounts because they haven't given any money. |

Why is everyone feeding this obvious troll?
He did something he shouldn't have, and got caught.
He is, of course, never going to admit this. So any arguing that fact is going to prove fruitless. Mne eto nado kak zuby v zadnitse. |
