Aventurine posted a warning a while ago today about people refreshing and spamming their servers.

the warning stated that youd get a 10 minute block and eventual ban for spamming

now the fact is that the forums are totally un-usable right now due to extreme demand from users and people trying to refresh the shop page incase it opens again.  The devs said they would notify us of any shop opening.  The big problem is that due to the forums being messed up due to lag we wont get that warning so players continue to refresh the shop page all evening.

I received a 10 minute block for apparently spamming and refreshing when actually i wasnt refreshing more than a couple of times evey few mins.  I had onlyh one window open aswell.

so im now paranoid about even connecting to their forums or shop through fear of an IP ban

they arent banning they are suspending folks for 10 minutes from ACCOUNT page. To prevent folks from opening 30 windows and f5ing over and over again.

So, just check once every 5 minutes and you are fine.

if you refresh more than 5 times in any 10 minute period,  it's a 10 minute ban.  Pretty simple and fair I would say.

only for account page not the forums

Don't think they did it on the forum, only the shop. But if you refresh 5 times in 10mins, you're banned for 10mins.

You being paranoid to refresh, is probably what they want. They want people to be very calm with the servers, lol. There's probably a couple thousand people waiting for the damn thing to open right now.

how do you know its more than 5 times in 10 mins?

I hope I see  ALOT of people spamming f5 so they get a 10 minute block. This will make it that much easier for me to finally get my order through!

Pre-Orders went online at 7:50pm (for my settigns) according to the news fourm time which is in about 10 mins so we might be getting close.

Ive had it open for a week now, and hit the billing link and BAM 10 min ban... tried to log back in 11 min later... it was still blocked

Sucks to be you. I've clicked on the billing info link several times out of curiousity. No ban for me.

Make sure you dont have more than 2 tabs open for the accounts page. I accidentally had, and got a 10 minute suspension for it. Luckily, this was about an hour ago.

The advanced AI bots were stressing this system for a month now..didnt you get the memo?

I thought that was refreshing the account page, not the forums. i've been refreshing the forums alot because they are up and down like a whore atm.

this is probably the worst customer service i've ever come across.

they ban you for 10 mins for not doing anything wrong sometimes

it also said in the warning that repeated violation resultsd in perma ban so you wont get in at all!!!

what of the people getting banned when not doing anythign wrong

It doesnt say u will get a perma ban... however 10 minute bans that keep banning u everytime u try to log on is effectivly the same thing

Banning doesn’t change the fact that they have server side stability issues with their forums and their game. Sure people may be exploiting this, but this is an issue that should be non existent like in most triple a MMOs. I guess if you’re enough of a fan you can handle it, but everyone on the outside is seriously laughing at how poor of service they offer at the same time charging a premium price. One more strike against the Indie devs. My recommendation is to not put to much hard work into this game because I honestly don’t see this hitting a one year mark.

8pm (GMT) soon, which means it'll be 10pm in Greece. They must be thinking of opening the gates soon.

No, I ment the pre-orders news posting was at 7:50 (my settigns), not talking about the store opening tonight.

Once again shows they cannot handle running a MMO period. IF they do have sales tonight its gonna be a complete clusterfudge again. The fact that based on history people still are trying shows either the human race really does enjoy beating their collective heads against a brick wall hoping for a different result other than a headache
