Ok, I've been observing these forums for months, and multiple times I had to resist the temptation of joining them just to answer to an idiot. Finally I felt like joining because of this thread. Let me present you with another story.

Once upon a time, I sat on my chair in front of my computer and pressed the big round button on the tower that caused the computer to make some weird sounds. I waited for a couple of minutes and then I grabbed the mouse and started moving it around and pressing the buttons on it.  Later on I started pressing buttons on the keyboard as well. While I was doing that, I was staring at the pixels changing colors on my screen, and listening to the sounds coming out of my speakers.

This process kept going for at least 5 hours, with me doing nothing else but moving around the mouse, pressing buttons on it, as well as the keyboard and staring at the pixels on the screen.

Finally I pressed some more buttons, and the stood up from my chair, while my computer went silent.

At that moment I was certain, this was probably the best gaming experience of my life.

When we lose our stuff its meaningful. We dont need dungeons to farm loot,we can just go to our bank and put all new stuff on from the 150 pieces we crafted and stashed there. But losing your loot is a big deal,and its hardcore,and oldskool. So there.

It wouldnt matter if this game was a black background with 2 white bars knocking a square across a screen.As long as you could loot the other guys bar after he let the square through,then its all good.thats what seperates us and makes us men;our ability to loot pixels in an online game.

So I decided to get revenge and ran for another 20 mins to the same place and luckily spotted the same PK who killed me when I was fighting goblins earlier, to my surprise he was also fighting goblins and I likewise waited until he was at low health and stamina and was stuck looting like I was before, but to my surprise after I attacked him from behind he quickly started to run away.

But I chased him for 20 mins frantically clicking LMB, until to my surprise laser beams starting shooting out of a tower at me and I died, totally incredible awesome, I nearly had a seizure of ecstasy and an incredible wave of orgasmic feelings flowed threw my body as i experienced this magnificent revolutionary advanced ground breaking form of never seen before open PvP.

Based on my brief first impressions of the game I can safely say with total conviction and authority that this is definitely the best game ever, better then all the rest by far, and I have played all of them and they are all inferior, and anyone who still plays them is also inferior.

No other game has ever even allowed you to kill monsters, or let you kill players and loot them, or explore a world or had FPS type combat before

This is the best game ever because it has open pvp and full loot, because that's all that matters and all you need for the best MMO ever.

I'm not certain that it was sarcasm, but if it was, it's on an entirely different level than your run-of-the-mill sarcasm.

I recommend your next exciting move be to obtain all the cheating and hacking mods available. Then you could become as UBER, HARDCORE & AWESOME as the fanbois. After all, there is GREAT skill in hacking & cheating and we know Darkfall is a revolutionary game where SKILL MATTERS!

At least in UO you had various attacks and magic spells (instead of spamming magic missile over and over and over and over and over like in DFO). 

Umm...unless they drastically changed UO since the time I last played it, combat was pretty simple.

Let's see...if you use a weapon in UO, your options were "attack," "attack," oh and the ever popular "attack."

Magic had a few more options but definitely NOT more than Darkfall's magic system.  PvPing with magic usually just amount to good old fashioned energy bolt (Corp Por!) or Flamestrike (Kal Vas Flam!).  I guess you could use energy vortex too if you wanted to, but that's about it.

Its still too soon to see if these random gankers will eventually organize to become roaming bands of thugs. My feeling is eventually everything will evolve into an enviornment similar to feudal japan

Let me tell you, you haven't felt ingame fear until you have been hunted by a pack of furries. Those snarls make you run and not looking back :)

You mean like in WoW when 90 % of time my warlock was spamming Shadow bolt ?

Do you mean you miss:

Direct damage spells

Damage of time spells

Area of effect spells

Buffs

Curses

Healing spells

Crowd control spells

You know what ? All these spells are present in Darkfall, even CC - Launch spell.

And like all MMOs DF will have these spells rebalanced in the incoming months.

Listen, man, I wish to believe that Darkfall PvP will be great and funny and everything, but right now it's just LMB bashing with polearms and some bow stealth ganking.

In WoW you could get to level 20 in 1 day and you already had a hotbar full of skills which you are forced to use if you want to win duels. Period.

I just hope they fucked up the progression of skills and that magic will be really worthwhile on higher levels.

Hotbar full of what ? Most of those skills are some action over and over again: DAMAGE with fancy icon and a different name. That's same in any MMO including DF. Damage, DoT, Buff, debuff, CC...

At least here you can do something constructive except pressing TAB and next magic combination of I WIN numbers between 1 to 0. Can you dodge a spell or a  melee attack in WoW or WAR ? Can you manually block ?

DF combat is much more fun and immerse then any other MMO game on the market, even now when most of us don't have acces to 95 % of  magic spells and things need balancing.

If you think that melee in DF is LMP bashing with polearms we don't play same game or you have no idea what are you doing.

Suckers always suck... We were ganking mahirims today for 3 hours. Killed like 50 of them (and a few orcs). Looted alotta stuff (trash mostly, but there were some plate and scale pieces and a few mounts). That was a real PvP... It's amazing how many carebears in the game. They couldn't even gather and give us a fight...

Didn't hes prophecy was something about ..game will never enter Beta ? See people pay money and Aventurine sells a product..

He failed in EPIC proportions and tried to cover and hide it by changing his sig with something stupid like white border ...Why did he change his Sig ? 

Also in one of his last posts with release he posted he found out developers where "100% BS" 'ing about the game ..

So he failed again after his obsevation.. -if he believe in his own words, and his words are to believe- to come back to this forum and givve an review on his 5 day experience ..I am expecting him stay 100% away from these game after he found out it is 100% BS for him ..wouldn't a 100% sane men do just that ..and not  wait  for straight 5 days for the game and hitting F5 for order LOL?
